One of my favorite things to do at TBRN is announce new broadcasters and their new shows. For me, the introduction of a new DJ represents validation on all sides. For you, it’s validation that you’re ready to do a show on our airwaves, undoubtedly. For us, it’s validation that we’re good enough to attract and develop new talent. This morning, we’re taking the next step to making that happen…And no, this is no April Fool.
We now have a new broadcaster application form! Written by Derek Lane and me, this new form asks some of the most basic, yet important, questions we need answered to give us an impression of you as a broadcaster. With this, we finally have a public-facing way, once again, of processing new applicants.
If you’re highly motivated to learn and be learned from while having fun in the process, we’d love to hear from you! Whether you’re a 13-year veteran with a high profile in the internet radio world (Johanna), or a young rookie with talent to spare (Cam), TBRN wants you to broadcast in our fun, passionate, and often-times crazy environment. For the rookies amongst us, I also wish to give you an important reminder. Every broadcaster had a first day in radio, and every broadcaster made mistakes. Many of us wish we had the collection of talent TBRN provides to mentor us and make our shows better. You first time broadcasters now have that chance. Whether first timer or long timer, TBRN hopes you will join us, and we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with all of you.
