Damn, been awhile since i put anything here. Been a little busy trying to get these damned machines synchonized, and fighting to stay on the air. You all BETTER fight for your internet usage rights, because they're slowly being taken away from us by "left field" sources. If the RIAA wins, we lose. BIGTIME. The internet wont be a fun place anymore. It'll be ALL strictly legal business only. No mp3s, no movies, no porn without paying huge moneys. Better get on the ball people. Last i heard, the internet was created for the PEOPLE, and NOT big business. They're muscleing in on OUR territory. You really want them to take over and tell YOU what you will or will not do? Then you better speak up NOW! And if the internet isnt fun anymore, fewer people will use it. That will directly affect technological advances in some areas, and they're all important, and even affect our economy bigtime for the worse. Ok, rant over. Otherwise, things are settling down to normal here after the last parent "departed", so all the new equipment is almost all installed. Holy shit, 7.1 surround in the lab y'all! And lo and behold, i found out some of the music/bits/sound fx in the show are also in surround sound! Never knew that before until i played an archive in the surround system in the living room. Talk about surprised! Oh, did i mention? I do one of those internet radio shows on www.tbrn.net Just click on the schedule and look for Venison Stew. These are NON professional, NON REVENUE generating, NOT BUSINESSES, but HOBBY radio "stations" the recording industry says is losing them millions of dollars. BULLSHIT! We're MAKING them money! Ever tune to MTV lately and see any music? And listen to your local radio station and hear something you like? WE'RE doing the job they're not. Just a group of average citizens that saw they could get on the air for free. Thats the MAJORITY, and yes i said majority, of internet radio. Just a bunch of average people having some FUN and playing radio. Remember FUN? This is just another thing to take away from us, because oh dear god, these people are enjoying themselves way too much again. Theres no big conspiracy to push out normal broadcasting, no big scheme to rip music from internet shows. They're low quality recordings anyway. NOT even CLOSE to cd quality. Nobodys going to keep and use them for permanent listening! They get an mp3 to see if they like what they hear, THEN THE PEOPLE GO AND BUY THE HIGH QUALITY CD!! People have big ass sound systems in their houses now, and even bigger ones in their cars. Do you really think we want to defile these systems with lousy 128kb mp3s?? WE play the stuff the industry "rejects" from their money making top 40 only lists. THATS how these artists get discovered. Word of mouth. If it wasnt for internet radio and file sharing, people wouldnt know that a good 70% of these bands even exist. THATS HOW IT WORKS Y'ALL! Get it through your heads musicians. You've been lied to bigtime. They're NOT interested in your intellectual properties or copywrites, they're only interested in gaining political power. And our government people are so ignorant of the internet and how it works people wise, they're pushovers for these "lobbyists" looking for their own personal gains! You musicians are getting fucked raw without lube, because YOU believe their bullshit also. You think you're losing money in royalties? You are. But NOT from the public. How do you think the riaa, mpaa, copywrite boards, and whoever get all these millions of interfering dollars to put into our political system for THEIR needs? ITS YOUR MONEY THEY'RE USING! The same money YOU should be getting for your royalties. You are being ripped off alright. But by the people who CLAIM to be "protecting you"! WAKE UP and smell the power of the PUBLIC! The recording industry is shooting its own legs off by trying to get rid of the "public system", and they're just too stupid to realize it, and you musicians are going to be the primary casualties. If file sharing and internet radio stops, you DONT have an outlet for the REAL masses to hear your efforts. People dont buy "sight unseen" anymore. Remember the phrase "Let the buyer beware"? People get it now after being constantly ripped off in life themselves. They listen to an mp3 SAMPLE to see if you sound good. If you do, then your career launches. THATS HOW IT WORKS Y'ALL! NOT by the efforts of MTV, or your local clear channel fm station, its by US! The general public! Dammit! I'm ranting again. But somebody has to shell out a little truth somewhere. Oh, one last note, Metallica was ranting about them losing money because of file sharing, so THEY helped start this whole copywrite catastrophy the country and the world is now struggling with. Arresting and sueing little kids and seniors, even dead people. Stupid STUPID TWATS! It MADE you money like i said. (of course the "industry" SUPPRESSED the statistic that napster increased overall cd sales by 20% globally). The reason you lost money was because you destroyed (napster) which gave you your REAL exposure to the general worldwide public you idiots, the public is PISSED at you for creating this mess, and from what i gather from these worldwide sources, your last album SUCKED. THATS WHY you're losing money! NOT because of sharing and copywrite bullshit. Take a few months in rehab so you can THINK again, and see the shit mess you've made for yourselves and the rest of the fucking planet! Your well being is in the hands of the PUBLIC! NOT the recording industry. You fuck the public, and the public will fuck you back, live and on air. Keep things in perspective "artists". Ok, ok, i'm done. Relaxing now. Had to get that out. This is just one opinion of one average American citizen who is really getting tired of ALL THIS stupidity. And the rest of us are too. The public is awake, and NOW we're watching closely. You fuck with our personal pleasures, and you find out the power of the vote. Notice our government is mainly democratic now? And if you Democrats try to stab us in the back, like it looks like you're doing, and you're finding out in public outcrys thats not such a good idea, theres always the Libertarian party which people are starting to take NOTICE of. Remember, WE put you there, we can take you right back out. This is not a threat, so dont even try to go that way. Its plainly an observation. Thats what i mainly do. I observe whats going on with the world around me. We're awake and watching. Have fun y'all, my job is done now. Time for drinks. :-)
