The Digital Domain Online Radio Show

What is the digital domain? It is simply a 2 hour uncensored comedy free-for-all where anything goes. It is lead — though not necessarily controlled – by Nick Giannak and Bob Sarnowski, 2 strange individuals from Long Island, New York. Whether it is through a produced bit, a random conversation, or who knows what provided by you the listeners, their goal is to have fun, and to ensure that you the listeners are picking yourselves off the floor and nursing your bruised ribs.

The Digital Domain online Remote show for November 19-20, 2020

It's been three weeks since a Digital Domain has aired, and a lot has changed in the studio. Due to oddities around scheduling things, this show aired on two separate days, thus the date stamp on this archive. Nick has built his new computer, which debuts on this show, and has also upgraded his Mac and changed his softphone. Thus, the first hour of this show was aired on Thursday for practice, in which we work out what the setup is like and discuss new COVID restrictions...welcome to the silly zone in the worst way. The second hour and part of a third aired on the Friday of Bob's actual birthday, and we continue where the first part of the show left off. How did people wish Bob a happy Birthday on air? What else has arrived at the news desk? It's one of the oddest remote shows we've ever done under unique circumstances...give it a download!

A celebration of the life of @Venison88: July 31, 2020

On July 27 around 1:15 PM, Clark Walter Smith, otherwise known as Venison88, lost his life to a stroke at the age of 65. He impacted so many lives in his time on earth and in our hobby. He was one of the funniest men we've ever known, a disarming personality, and an all around good guy. This describes the universal response given during this two part show, both parts of which are contained in this archive, nothing less than a virtual wake. We featured clips from our most significant on air moments with him, carefully chosen to paint a picture of the man we all knew and loved. Rest in peace, Clark Smith...Friday nights won't be the same without you...nor will our lives.

The Digital Domain Online Remote Show for June 19, 2020

This week, Nick is an admitted technical dumbass. How? Find out. The show having issues at the beginning is not Nick's fault...sometimes, things just happen. You, however, won't hear any of the audio issues...only the descriptions thereof. We also have the introduction of a new broadcaster to complete the TBRn Saturday lineup. Other than that, it's phone calls, Skype calls, and messages.

The Digital Domain Online Remote Show for June 12, 2020

Bob fell on his ass...We just wish it was live on air! We discuss the current events, protests, and changes, following on from the past few weeks. And what other changes might we see happen? Bob has ideas...hold onto your brains. A Japanese lady sings, live on Skype. Jayson Smith and his Dad got themselves a JBL PartyBox...Don't miss their successful attempt at trolling Nick. Finally, Venison has what might be the greatest final Skype call ever. Enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Remote Show for June 5, 2020

The phones are back, thanks to Nick's new Evo 4 by Audient. He reviews this interface, which serves as his Birthday present...Happy 31! He definitely likes it...how much? Speaking of Birthday, a young Egyptian lady chose to play Happy Birthday on piano for Nick...but she was using an Android phone. How well did that work? Some New York sports talkers returned, we go over some TV news bloopers, and Bob addresses the controversy from last week, playing an awesome song in the process.

The Digital Domain Online Remote Show for May 29, 2020

We continue aglow from the previous week's success, have fun making fun of a new car with really weird features...And make controversial statements that Nick unfortunately doesn't react well to.

The Digital Domain Online STINE GROVE SHOW! May 22, 2020

This show picked up where the last week left off, but at a slower, more relaxed pace. Kentaro did find a Japanese woman to call into the show, but Damon was absent. She showed a lot of courage to truly test her English skills, for which the hosts commended her. Nick has finally been able to leave his house a bit, traveling with Dara around town...but he visited a restaurant owned by an old high School classmate of his. What did this noted burger connoisseur think? Find out. We even hear a song from Kentaro's band, the reaction to which was certainly amusing. It was a relaxed, slow-paced sh...STINE! GROVE! Nick's persistence finally paid off, as Stine Grove finally made a voice appearance on our show, instigated by the listeners. Nick and Stine have known each other for 5 years, but hadn't communicated by voice to that point...As a result, you get a starstruck Nick and euphoric laughter, plus calls from the listeners and circle closing. Make no mistake, it's a hang, not an interview. SO yes...It was a relaxed, slow-paced show...But Stine Grove blew the roof off, and Nick was so happy that he could've retired on top. Thankfully, that will not happen...it only galvanized him to more radio in future weeks. They'll be talking about this show for years...Grab your own copy.

The Digital Domain Online Remote Show for May 15, 2020

As it becomes clear that the world will not revert to normal as quickly as hoped, it also became clear that Nick was dissatisfied with the previous five shows. A reconnection with an old friend and the making of new friends inspired him to, with the help of the listeners and Damon, keep Bob off balance. The result was what Bob described as the "11-11-11 of Quarantine shows, and given that 11-11-11 was the best Digital Domain of all time...That's saying something." Thomas is back with a keyboard review, but with a twist, as he literally translated dutch swearing into English. Hilarity ensued, as did a Damon rant about keyboards of a different kind. During that Damon call, a listener named Kentaro promised Japanese girls for Damon...Does that happen? We'll find out next week. How far has Within Temptation fallen, according to Nick? We Discuss that in relation to their new song, 'Entertain You'. Finally, we have a bit of old fashioned destructive fun, as a car journalist named Doug DeMuro decided to run over an Audi Allroad and a Kia Spectra in his Land Rover Defender. Don't miss the sheer fun he had, as he didn't just run the cars over...he messed with them, too. This show almost didn't happen as Bob's Mom's Skype blew up in ways we didn't expect...but we're certainly glad that her Facetime was a good backup...This show was truly satisfying. Enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Remote Technical WTF show: April 24, 2020

This time around, Bob had company in the form of Robyn from her new home studio setup...But Discord was used to convey their voices. The result was a big mess, as Discord decided it was going to screw up the transmission of any musical or prerecorded element, despite the fact that Nick turned off all noise suppression systems. Why? We're still not sure, and fixing it was a part of the entire show. The show had more discussion of our circumstances, which spawned the playing of a George Carlin bit that seemed incredibly prescient. We talk a little bit about the NFL draft, and dive down a rabbit hold involving something called Laura. What exactly is going on here? Find out.

The Digital Domain Online Remote Show for April 17, 2020

It's another show very much like the few before, with Coronavirus being the discussion de jure. We get phone calls from "public figures", including one call in which Nick thought the show jumped the shark. A friend of Nick's actually found a video from Jim Cornette regarding a WrestleMania survey, which generated some much needed hilarity. And that's the show in a very short nutshell. Download it!

The Digital Domain Online Remote Show for April 10, 2020

As we enter another week of lockdown, Bob has decided to do the show in a different way from his house. Do the listeners, or even Nick, know what he did? And what are the effects? ...And did he shave? You find out all of these things. As we speak, Nick's Dad is setting up his new HP Computer, which replaces a machine we called Palpatine...We tell the story in its most complete form, and play the bits it spawned. It's another remote show of its time, but you never know what might happen.

The Digital Domain Online Remote Show for April 3, 2020

As the miasma of Covid depression thoroughly sets in, this show is of the time. We talk of the news of the day almost exclusively, save to play a piece from our past, a keyboard review of a truly terrible ergonomic thing, and a certain Samuel L. Jackson piece and it's modern derivations. It's a snapshot of what life was like for the entire world...with a focus on our corner there of.

The Digital Domain Online Remote Show for March 27, 2020

For the first time in quite a few years, Bob is hosting the show remotely. For the first time ever, he's using Skype, courtesy of his mother's iPhone...Yes, Bob is still, to a certain extent, a Luddite. The overarching theme was, once again, the social isolation felt by all, which lead to a question. You're so bored that you...? Hear the answers to that. We also hear an awesome parody of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody sung by a near dead ringer for Freddy Mercury about the Coronavirus itself. Finally, we play some new stuff from Thomas the Keyboard guy, including bloopers, as we gear up for more content from him next week. It was a shortened show, emblematic of the times.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for March 20, 2020

By necessity, this week's show is quite a bit more sober than last week's, as the true extent of social distancing begins to become known, this show becomes an area to talk to the listeners. The hosts have gone from last week's shock to this week's anger and don't pretend otherwise. This is the one subject anyone is talking about, with two mild deviations...one to play old singing DECtalk bits, and another to play a leftover vignette from November where we introduce Bob to Bose frames. Other than that, this is, truly, a one subject show. Happy Spring?

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for March 13, 2020

Ray is back! ...And unfortunately, something bad happened. As the Wuhan Coronavirus began to take its toll on daily life, sports were the first casualty. With three of the biggest sports fans in one place, we mourn the thing we all love equally...in the craziest way we can. To start with, the first hour was a conventional show, albeit with an extra person, featuring the listeners, including one listener writing in while surprising the hell out of Bob by her very presence. Nick has a bad idea regarding Coronavirus coverage...thankfully, it didn't survive the production meeting. After Gemma made an incredible callback to her, we called Allie, of the ask Allie segment. What exactly is she up to? It was a fun first hour...and then the second hour happened. We were spontaneously "invaded" by a parade of "sports radio jocks", which triggered one of our longest cases of runaway humor to date. It was a cathartic experience. While it's full of references many people will not get, the sheer hilarity contained herein is worth the price of admission, as is the undeniable fact that the hosts are, clearly, having fun. We'll be talking about this one for a decade...This is your own copy.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for March 6, 2020 (reconstructed)

This show began a string of screwed up Fridays, in our own life and, later, the world. On a day full of non-stop problems both at home and at TBRN, we muddle through trying to entertain the best we could...but ultimately succumbed to some previously unexpected problems, caused by the unexpected expiration of TBRN's domain. Talk of that dominated the show, as well as our other technical difficulties. The only true deviation from that theme was Alex's sending of an out of season mashup. However, the strangeness doesn't end there. Nick was forced to reconstruct this archive due to human error while working with it...he accidentally deleted it. As a result, this show sounds completely different now than from when it aired, including different music beds and a different sound profile, owing to the fact that only the cold, voice only portion survived. It's a unique show in our history, only one other has ever been reconstructed in this way...and that was in 2004. How did we do? Find out by downloading.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 28, 2020

This show featured a glowing Nick, on the heals of one of the greatest experiences of his life. Between last week and this, he went to Boston to be measured to see if he's a candidate for a genetic procedure that might, or might not, give him some vision. How does a screening process for a clinical trial turn into something that the subject actually enjoys? Find out. We also imagine what might happen if various people Nick met during this process were TBRN listeners, as one of our listeners also went through a very similar process. Speaking of things that are supposed to be useful to the blind community, WWE Smackdown on Fox has a described video track...but it's damn near useless, to the point where you won't believe what was described that was completely unnecessary. Phone calls, messages, and crazy...it was a fun show at a happy time.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 21, 2020

On this day 10 years ago, Nick's Mother had a massive stroke, taking most of her ability to speak and triggering one of the worst week's of Nick's life. Out of the darkness of that week, a tradition was born, that of silly songs day. Listen to this show to find out exactly why that tradition was created, and enjoy as we observe, for the final time, said tradition...Nick believes that some things should simply be left alone. We get silly submissions from listeners, replay old favorites, and one listener even decides to sing a silly song she wrote live on air. At the same time, we make a point of, to the best of our ability, leaving nothing out as we juxtapose the silly with the serious...It's extremely personal. If you yourself are going through something personally challenging, this show may be an inspiration to you.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 14, 2020

Happy Snail Event Day! Bob was a little too loopy to understand what Jayson Smith was saying to him when that came out of his mouth, owing to him being on his way toward stoned. In an amusing Send up to September 13, Bob and Emily have various stoned clips, played while Stine Grove was listening. Do the same disparate elements create the same magic? Download to find out. Alex is back with another new mashup, Grace has a wardrobe malfunction, and we talk about Alice Cooper's daughter in a band Bob doesn't like. Oh, and Nick adopts the name "Stretch Armstrong" by the end of this show, for reasons that will make sense when you listen. It's another weird afternoon in the Digital Domain Studios...grab the archive and go!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 31, 2020

If last week was a seesaw, this week is a roller coaster, thanks to the national tragedy of Kobe Bryant's untimely death in a helicopter crash, along with his 13-year-old daughter and other families and friends. This is the first celebrity death to hit Nick and Bob equally hard, so not a second was wasted in covering it...even the intro, a tribute to Kobe produced that morning by Nick. If you talk to him, however, he'd tell you that he didn't make the tribute, the tribute made itself. Juxtapose this with the song played, a beautiful new Stine Grove and Aurosonic production. The title? "In Euphoria We Rise." We aren't kidding. On the same day as Kobe's passing, the Royal Rumble took place, and silliness abounds as nick attempts to describe what happened during the titular match. Did he succeed? Find out. Don't skip over the wrestling talk, as some of the things said during the explanation become show-wide gags while Bob talks with the likes of Cheryl. Finally, don't miss a recording of Emily singing Hallelujah in the style of Tory Kelly, recorded two nights earlier at the Homestead. From euphoric highs to kicks in the nuts, this show has it all...And in many ways, we mean that quite literally.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 24, 2020

Bob is slightly inebriated. Does that matter in the doing of this show? Who knows. He did, however, experience a strange phenomenon in America, a busy signal while calling a cell phone from a cell phone. We spend an inordinate amount of time trying to determine why, exactly, this happened. Jerome from Manhattan makes his return to the studio, which, of course, means torture for Bob. Same with Elias, albeit a little less torturous than Jerome. Phone and Skype calls were the name of the game in this show, most notably from Ray and his friend Mike, both of whom listen to this show independently of each other. Cheryl also has a discussion with Bob during a portion of the show where music is discussed, thanks to a beautiful new Delain song that has Nick excited...but of course, this is our show, which means we had to wreck it with talk of Marianne Faithfull. This show is one big mental seesaw...download it and enjoy the intellectual motion.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 17, 2020

Two pissed off sports fans...And there's your theme for the entire show. And of course, Elias couldn't resist poking the bear. This vagrant showed up because Sanna Astikainen was here to purchase a brand new guitar she can't buy in Finland, the orangewood Hudson. We glow about this all solid dreadnought...after Elias played it, of course. The bulk of this show, however, deals with fallout from the Houston Astros sign stealing scandal, the New York Mets response to it, and Bob and Emily at an annoying Islanders-Rangers game. ...And it got silly in a very weird way...Don't miss it. Oh, and just to add the cherry on top, the "Commissioner of Baseball", the dictator, "Rob Manfred", joined us in studio as well for his own attempts at poking the bear. Yeah, it was a strange show, so we wrote a strange description. Download it...but don't listen while banging on a trash can.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 10, 2020

A half hour before we went on air, the announcement was made that Rush drummer and lyricist Neil Peart died of glioblastoma three days earlier. That shadow was cast on our show, but we go on, doing as we normally would. With the NFL playoffs beginning, we talk about Kevin Harlan's funniest faux calls of drunks and cats scoring touchdowns or getting tackled in bounds. Jessica, Grace, and Gemma talk about sex toys. ...Yes, they talk about sex toys. That's not all they talk about, but it's what this segment will be remembered for. Jerome from Manhattan makes his return to the Digital Domain studios for the first time in many, many years...He and Nick tag team to torture Bob. How? Find out. We also play some Jerome moments as he called into our local sports talk station in years gone by. Phone calls, Skype calls...it was one of those shows where we came from nothing and turned it into crazy. Enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 3, 2020

Happy New Year...picking up where last year left off! As per tradition, we play audio of Bob ringing in his new year at the Homestead, triggering discussions of how listeners rang in their 2020. Grace, for the record, is not a bus. We talk a lot about the Christmas presents we each got after the previous show, including a Sonos Move (Nick) and an unusual Bluetooth speaker with an AM/FM radio (Bob). Both gifts are demonstrated, sometimes with rather amusing results. We also demonstrated the latest model train to be added to the collection. Listeners call in, including one that completely threw off Bob. but that wasn't the biggest Bob blunder...Don't miss the Granddaddy of them all, the most ridiculous "Good Job Bob" ever committed. Download this show...it was a good start to the year.

The Digital Domain Online Year End Spectacular for December 20, 2019

Goodbye, 2019! But before that, Merry Christmas! And that's our show in a nutshell. Many phone calls from the listeners sparked much chit chat, but torture was also the name of the game...For Bob. And of course, it's a callback. Nick and Bob made the annual visit to nick's trains. But Nick couldn't believe what was called back by the appearance of a character not seen in many years. The annual opening of the gifts was its usual fun, the main event being Bob's gift...he was rather touched. But Nick's reaction was no slouch either, as Bob never expected him to be quite as happy as he was. Finally, relive some of the best laughs with our twelfth annual year end montage. Download now, and see you next year!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for December 13, 2019

The penultimate show of the year is the final afternoon show of the year, done after Nick returned from Florida. Bob was extra loopy, working on no sleep and...well...an altered state of consciousness, sort of. What exactly do we mean by that? What does Emily have to do with it? And what insane grooming product for women does she introduce us to? Find out. As is a theme around this station, We play some stuff from the latest Christmas Reapers album, which lead to talk of properly sampled sleigh bells...and speaking of sleigh bells, don’t miss Jayson Smith’s best epic fail ever. Nick attempts to read a story from WrestleCrap about one of the worst Christmas parties ever conceived in wrestling, A random “social justice warrior” shows up to talk about Christmas songs and how politically correct he thinks they should be, leading to talk throughout the show about Christmas music in general, in advance of the station’s Christmas content launching. But wait...Bob’s not the only one in an altered state, as Nick does the show without breakfast. As a result, we have indisputable evidence that Nick does get hangry. This description is all over the place...much like the show. Friday the 13th, baby!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for November 22, 2019

Robyn deGraves is back in studio again! Her presence, as well as the New York Islanders being appointment viewing, triggered much talk about the Islanders' record setting win the night before...But one Pittsburgh Penguins fan wasn't happy. Oh well. She might be consoled by a few seconds of great bucket drumming outside Barclays Center, as recorded by Bob after the game. If you remember a story about Bob's New Year's Eve as told on January 8 of 2016, Bob gets redemption, 3 years and about 11 months later. Jessica has a major announcement about the next week's content in this slot...Nick's off to Florida, so Jessica's doing a Black Friday show with giveaways. Listen for more details. We have a creepy discussion about Centralia, Pennsylvania, the town that was the inspiration for the Silent Hill franchise...If you don't know why, you'll find out on this show. Finally, Alex is back...making fun of himself again....It's his Skype call from 11 years ago yesterday...And he's his own harshest critic. All that plus calls, messages, and a throwaway laugh from Nick make for a fantastic, enjoyable night in studio. Happy Birthday, Bob!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for November 8, 2019

Nick and Bob’s trip to the Islander game from last week was a focus on this show...Find out how nick got punked out and his reaction thereof, and listen to some whacked out reactions from Bob, Nick, and nearby Islanders fans as the Isles stepped up and made big plays. We talked to one of the Cheryls quite a lot this week, about hockey, weather, and various and sundries...And other conversations with listeners are best not depicted in this description. Alex has more fun with obscure speech synthesizers reading stories from FML...And some of these are a bit weirder than we could imagine. The second hour, however, was the main event, as we introduce an internet radio veteran with 20+ experience broadcasting to TBRN. Don’t miss it as he goes over his radio influences and skewers everyone in his path...And not necessarily in that order. It was a fantastic night on air and off, and we believe that it came through in the doing of this show. Download!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show For November 1, 2019

It's an afternoon show before we go to an Islander game...And it was totally unprepared. Nick ended up having to rescue Bob by finding the right time to play a bit that we haven't heard in some 4 years. What, why, how? Find out. ...Wait, did we just tear down the fourth wall? Ah, screw it. We also play Nick's best-worst idea ever from 2013, and laugh at things we hadn't noticed before about it. The rest of the show was very much focused on phone calls, including a discussion with one of the Cheryls about chain restaurants, comparing notes on the availability of same. It's a more relaxed sort of show, but an entertaining one. Download and enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for October 25, 2019

Robyn deGraves is back! For the first time since May 27, 2016, she returns to the studio to be the third mic on one of our shows, bringing news of the Sooner Schooner with her...Boomer Sooner? Does she know it? What the hell are we talking about! We had a particularly lively bunch of listeners, rendering the show voice-interaction heavy, leading to insanity, including a line we never thought we'd ever hear Venison utter. Alex has made a new mashup which, in a weird way, might be a time capsule. The marquis content is somber, as this show marks the 10th anniversary, plus two days, of Bob's father's passing. We commemorate the show, plus tell some stories of the paranormal in relation to his death, experienced by Bob and Emily. Finally, to bring the silly back around, Nick is moderately insulted at Lionel Trains' attempt at a Halloween model...and the price at which they're selling it, which lead directly to a model train electronics video from Robyn's father. It was a Topsy-turvy, crazy show with a unique feel, even among Robyn guest appearances. Download and enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for October 18, 2019

After a few weeks away, unplanned, due to illness and schedule problems, we're back...Though Nick's still getting over his illness, ergo a bit of a brief show. But Illness would become a topic of conversation...And fair warning, Jayson has possibly the most disgusting story anyone has ever told. The Scorch brothers, however, balance it all out with their runaway first appearance in years. Alex has found a new Top 10 list, Nick accidentally found a weird commercial, a certain redneck coach shows up...And that's the show in a nutshell. Despite its brevity, it's worth the download, as some of this is stuff we'll be remembering for a long time.

The Digital Domain Online 17th Anniversary Show: September 27, 2019

It's been 17 years to the day tomorrow since the debut of the Digital Domain Online Radio Show, but how do we celebrate when a herculean effort on an annual basis isn't feasible? By simply doing our show as we always do...but with a twist. Nick had the idea that both himself and Bob should compile their own list of the top 17 shows of all time. Both lists would be presented. It became a case study in the differing thought processes between Nick and Bob. The lists were the buttress for the entire show, as discussions centered around our show's past, and we played a few clips from our best moments. Besides the nostalgia, Emily's Dad hates the French, and Cheryl may or may not have met Cheryl. If you want to know what any of that means, download this show...It was a fun way to celebrate 17 years.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for September 13, 2019

When Nick and Bob got off the air, they knew that they'd just done something extremely difficult...A show where two totally disparate elements came together. Most importantly, all of it was good, starting off with the premier of a new introduction, a year in the making. On one hand, Bob and Emily got Stoned and drunk (strunk?) together, and of course, Bob was recording. But Emily wasn't without enthusiasm, which showed even through the haze. For the first time since likely 2005, the grease man made an appearance in the studio, and nick threw gasoline on the silly fire...Don't miss how his making a certain classic movie reference degenerated with the help of everyone involved. Degeneration suddenly became the theme of the afternoon, because the alternate start time allowed Stine Grove to listen for the first time since 2016. But Nick wasn't keeping up with his personal Skype until the show was about to end, so didn't see that she had been tuned in from the beginning. His reaction to that amused everyone involved and extended the show by a good few minutes, to the point where we actually ran over when it seemed like a sure early exit. From the silliness brought by Bob to the listener focus of Nick, this show was as close to perfect as we have ever done, and was named on Nick's top 17 list at number 3...The only 2019 show to make it. That, more than anything, speaks volumes.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for September 6, 2019

It's been two months and one day since Nick acquired majority ownership of TBRN. Now, we make history...in more than one way. We believe that we're the first broadcasters to ever do a show on the same day in which we physically change internet connections. No, this is not simply changing service, this is the physical wiring, too. It worked! ...mostly. Find out what went wrong, albeit it was stuff unrelated to this change. We take many, many phone calls and have many, many messages, as this was one of the most active shows we've done in many years. We treated this activity to a bit of a cringe theme, starting with a story involving Bob's Mom getting lost with two GPS systems...Good job, Bob's Mom! We have another story involving Nick, food, and B-Movie bad comic timing. Bob learned a powerful lesson on this show...Be careful what you wish for, lest you get it. Nick even got in on the act of cringe, intentionally telling the most gruesome wrestling story from the previous week's event. Grace submitted a followup of the most cringe-worthy narrator any of us have ever heard. But most importantly, and most significantly, we make an announcement about a returning broadcaster and a new broadcaster, Mason Armstrong and Jessica Silva. Their arrival to the Saturday lineup will be the catalyst for a change in the way our station conducts itself, moving forward into a new era starting next week. It's a top 10 show in our history so far, a must download to add to anyone's collection. Thank you for tuning in.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 30, 2019

It's another afternoon in the Digital Domain Studios with Nick and loopy Bob. This time, the listeners do more to take advantage of this fact with their calls, messages, and clothing status. What do we mean? You'll just have to listen to find out. Venison rants about his dealings with his electric company, which lead to, much later in the show, Jayson's submission of an old song about a credit card. With a major Wrestling event coming up the next day, Nick was reading a wrestling book...but the narrator's general presentation, particularly with the many Japanese names in this book, made Nick have to show it to the world. Hilarity ensued, particularly from our newer, and returning, listeners, who added to the bit quite spectacularly. It was, quite simply, runaway humor. In keeping with the Wrestling, Nick's favorite villain, Long Island's own Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) is a wizard on the microphone. Bob has never heard him before, so we play one of his better rants. But imagine little MJF, age five, on the Rosie O'Donnell show? Listen and laugh, as you would to everything else on this show...Including a metal guitarist being his growling self on the Price Is Right. Enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 23, 2019

This show features a very sleep-deprived, loopy Bob as its cohost as an afternoon show, the first of many in our new alternate, 12 PM slot. Jayson Smith decides to have far too much fun with the Google Assistant, forcing it to sputter loads of nonsense...and spell it. The results were, predictably, hilarious. We talk a lot about the Mets, making fun of the fact that they aren't quite dead yet, despite Nick's proclamations of such in late June. This goes to show you that you never truly know. Did J.D. Davis make an appearance in the studio? Find out...Finally, we play more phone scams, including ones Bob has never heard before. All this plus the phone calls, messages, and interaction that makes our show what it is.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 16, 2019

Jayson Smith walked into 8 minutes of hilarity just by talking without thinking in the way that you do. Of course, we exploited it. What exactly was he talking about? Find out. Bob has two stories of abject frustration, including one story that really might shed a light on our society's overall condition. Nick kept an earlier promise, acquiring a Marshall Stockwell II Bluetooth speaker specifically for testing on the show. Bob didn't know it was coming, however, so you get to hear his raw reaction to it as we play with it. Finally, we play some of our favorite phone scams (prank calls) from the late WPLJ. As old as they are, they are always good for a laugh. Phone calls, messages...This show was, quite simply, a lot of fun. Listen while you eat dinner? Maybe...

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 9, 2019

Nick had a very weird 48 hours, filled with much trouble shooting, and his Dad being the smartest guy in the building. Why did that happen? Find out about that. That discussion had listeners calling in to tell their own trouble shooting stories. We briefly talk about match Game, with the final taking place the next day, including a Nick flub that will probably go down in history as one he can't live down. Emily calls in for the first time, and we hear just how crazy excited about her initial appearance she was. We also do something we did a long time ago, play launch control videos of electric cars, and enjoy the reactions and the noises contained therein. Phone calls, messages, the usual works make up a very relaxed show.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 2, 2019

This show was all over the place and fun at the same time. Nick's family got a new Ring Video Doorbell, and Nick chose to mess with Bob as he entered the building. What does Bob think of the audio quality of the Ring? If you've never heard it before, you will now. Bob wasn't able to listen to the first two Match Games, so Nick plays the best clips from each for the first time...get Bob's live reactions. Match Game also spawned a show-wide gag...listen for that. We learn more about the stupidity and weirdness surrounding Bob's current job. His coworkers and charges might be repetitive...Bob is not. Finally, Alex is back with a new Adventures In Nostalgia, his longest and wackiest to date. All that plus the usual listener interaction...We were very happy with this show. Download!

Scrap Metal covers for the Digital Domain: July 26, 2019

With Bob heading Up State and Arfy premiering that night, it's left to Nick and friends to fill in for the Digital Domain. Nick chooses to bring back Scrap Metal, a show that is predominantly a metal show, but with Psychostick on the playlist, comedy is well represented. Venison's attempts at freaking people out with Grindcore are also rather amusing. The likes of Riikka, Venison, Darcy, and Holly keep the Scrap Metal tradition of Skype cohosts alive, adding some randomness to the festivities. The show was good enough for people to request this archive. You're welcome!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for July 19, 2019

'twas the night before Match Game and all through the...Um, Yeah. In order to hype for the Match Game tournament the next day, Darcy and Holly, the contestants for the exciting opening match, decided to call into the show and introduce themselves to those who don't know them. Additionally, they chose to reveal just what kind of Match Game fans they are, from TBRN all the way back to the old game. We welcome back a long time TBRn broadcaster off hiatus, and he's got himself a Roomba that decided to introduce itself to the world. The bulk of the content comes from Bob, as he describes the utter incompetence at the summer camp for which he now works...and also discloses how little they pay him. Bob's not happy...how much? Find out as you download what turned out to be a fun, but shortened, show.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show, Match Game and announcement special: July 5, 2019

This show was dominated by two events, Match Game selections and an announcement. After tying up a month's worth of loose ends in the opening five minutes of the show, we spread the selection of Match Game contestants throughout both hours, announcing each match, one at a time. We also make a unique announcement in internet radio history about TBRN's ownership changing, as projects of this size and scope almost never do this. The gravity of this announcement was not lost on the listeners, who commented throughout the show, as well as Nick and Bob, whose feelings ranged from gratitude for the past to hope for the future. In between all of this, we have some sports comedy, as Nick reads a hockey-based article about "The 20 stages of watching your team make a horrible free agency mistake", which left Bob and listeners howling. Whether you were there live or don't know how it felt, we hope you download this rather emotional show.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for June 28, 2019

Bob brought a guest to the Digital Domain Studios. Her name? Emily. ...She was an enthusiastic third mic throughout the entire show, and the main driver in a segment where we talk customer service and get introduced to a concept called the Disney voice. Talk of this was popular among listeners, many of which had their own customer service stories on both sides of the divide. "The Vandals Play Really Bad Original Country Tunes". That's the name of an album title, and it lived up to its name. The question was, was it funny bad or just...bad? Bob and Emily swap drunk stories, Emily, and audio, Bob. All that plus phone calls, Skype calls, and random appearances from characters...Fallout? Who knows. Find out next week.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for June 21, 2019

It's the first day of summer, and a rather rainy one at that...It was also the NHL Entry draft. Unlike previous years, it started at 8, not 7, so Nick and Bob's whacked out version of draft coverage was truncated. It was worth it, as Jayson's recreation of the Press Your Luck game board sounds starred in our imagination of what a really bad draft board might look like. Alex created some content, but it came at a really unexpected time, and Bob's reaction as a result was worth every bit of it. Bob purchased Djay Pro for Nick's birthday before the show, which lead to talk of the songs Nick would never play as a wedding DJ. Finally, our society has gone so app crazy that a radio commercial made Bob's head nearly explode. What app are we talking about? Both hosts were in a silly, happy mood...download this show and relax.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for June 14, 2019

With Bob Sarnowski off to a wedding, the previous week's show did not happen, resulting in a very packed episode. Before any of this happened, the gang, plus Sanna Astikainen and Robyn, celebrated Nick's birthday at Zinburger, his favorite burger place. Bob and Robyn had never had it before, and Nick's been raving about it for years...Did it live up to the hype? Robyn herself was the one getting married, so we hear audio and stories from Bob's trip to Dallas...but most notably, his trip back. Don't miss the conclusion to that saga, which had everyone howling. Game Show talk happened yet again, this time with Nick and Jayson diving into Press Your Luck's reboot. Finally, with the future of his YouTube channel uncertain, Olaf may have made one of his greatest discoveries, the Marshall Stockwell II. Nick and Bob react to it, and promise to test it in the near future, ending a great show on an imaginative note.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for May 31, 2019

Match Game is back! That announcement was made on the show today, without warning for Bob Sarnowski. The new promo is highly amusing, and you'll hear it twice. Bob's got a small list of things he heard that boggled the mind. How is some of this even possible? Legendary New York radio station WPLJ signed off today. That was the place where we heard the best ever prank phone calls, so we play one, as well as a phone call we made back in the old HKC Radio days that hasn't been heard in a decade. Nick gets Bob's reaction to a cover that Sanna and Nick heard back in January. Alex has another Annie mashup. Gemma has a present for Jayson. None of that compares, however, to the hilarity drawn by the appearances of Elias and Cody Parkey, sometimes even in combination with each other. We've ran out of words to describe this show...it was, quite simply, off the hook!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for May 24, 2019

Sanna Astikainen is back in studio for this show and the one to follow. The gang would use the day of the show to see Detective Pikachu...There's spoiler-free talk of that movie, as all three enjoyed it highly. We also riff on the movie experience and what it has turned into over the years, as Nick hasn't been to a cinema in about 13 years. Nick made his annual visit to the middle School, and he isolated a few clips of amusing moments from said visit. 39 years ago today, the New York Islanders won their first ever Stanley Cup...We play the amazing radio call. Finally, Elias makes his return...and one listener's response to him was utterly hilarious. Phone calls, messages, miscellaneous discussion...it's all there. Download!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for May 17, 2019

Nick found Bob in the production booth before the show, along with Big Voice guy and some extras. What could they possibly have attempted to produce without Nick's knowledge? Find out. We also have a followup from last week's Alex mashups, you here the other two he sent to us this week. We talk about DJs after an amazing bit of work from DJ TT before the show, and we revisit the world of elevator photography with some of its most awkward, funny, and unforgettable stuff. Some of it is new to the show, so if you're familiar with the elevator world, you might want to listen anyway. Oh, and not to be forgotten...Why was Nick absolutely pissed off at his sports teams? We take a deep dive into those issues as well. It was an awesome show on a beautiful day, the first truly nice day of the year.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for May 3, 2019

This show very nearly didn't happen due to an audio interface taking a dump ten minutes before the zero hour, but Nick's emergency rewiring job saved it just as it was needed the most. It was an important show, as this is the final time that this show will take the 2 PM Eastern slot for its afternoon broadcasts, because our own DJ TT is making his return, in this slot. Afternoon Digital Domains will air, if necessary, at 12 PM Eastern. We reintroduce him to the world and play music he'd play, as well as a megamix he produced for us. last week, the show was canceled due to Bob's feeling under the weather...But only his being clinically dead would stop him from attending an Islander playoff game. He probably shouldn't have bothered...Listen to his story of what might be the worst experience he ever had with an Islander game, ruined from minute 1. Why? And what was its almost shocking conclusion? Despite our diminished capacity to do so, we took phone and Skype calls, played a mashup/Avicii tribute from Alex, explored a sportscaster's rather amusing flub, revisited John Sterling with his latest obscure home run ham, and began a project to reintroduce listeners to Club Soda Kenny's various antics. As this description probably shows, this show was a circus...Boy are we glad it happened!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April 19, 2019

Neither of your hosts ate meat on Good Friday. Both of them, however, ate their words. Bob and Nick are avid sports watchers and talkers, and both of them made observations that didn’t bare out...Bob’s was on the air, and thus is far more amusing than Nick’s, which was not. We also made this, which was the reason that “If We Got High” was replayed last week. Bob has been warring with Cody Parkey lately, and this week is no exception. Finally, we talk about the Notre Dame fire in quite a bit of depth throughout the show, with Jayson, Bob, and Nick all giving their thoughts, getting more significant as the show progresses. While it had serious undertones, this show was also very silly and a lot of fun.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April 12, 2019

The 12th show of the year falls on Friday the 12th. We did not know it, but that coincidence set up the utter silliness we find this week. An afternoon show with sparse interaction had a sports theme, as the show was in its slot because of the Islanders Penguins first round Playoff series, game two would occur that night and be an Islanders win. Bob rants over a sportscaster's utter disdain for the product he was broadcasting from 2010, we talk about the most famous own goal in hockey history, and much more that honestly defies description...Nick and Bob's on air chemistry really shows itself today. Oh, and by the way, we replay "If We Got High". Why now? Find out next week.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April 5, 2019

This show went thoroughly into the silly zone, brought to you by Major League Baseball's random drug testing. Yes, the pee ability of a major league baseball player became news when he managed to delay his team's flight back to New York, partially causing his team to lose their home opener. The predictable humor ensued. The Arizona Diamondbacks have custom music for the presentation of their ballpark's roof opening. What thoughts do we have about it? Find out. Finally, Bob has never heard the New York Mets' own rap song, created in 1986, "Get Metsmerized". He hears it now, taking us down the rabbit hole of old sports raps, including one of our own. It was silly and highly interactive...download this show and enjoy it!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for March 29, 2019

Cody Parkey returns...and this time, he's something something broadcast something...Yeah, your guess is as good as ours as to exactly what he managed to accomplish. Only God knows why he was given top billing in this description. At least audio of him hitting the uprights 4 times is fun to listen to...you get that here. This happened after a discussion of a game for the blind called Eurofly, and our listeners managed to make those two go together quite well. The real headliner of this show, however, is a top 10 list Nick found which really points out the absurdity of a growing part of our society...the top 10 Savage Alex Trebek moments. Don't miss Bob's screaming reaction to this, and a quality discussion of humor, including April Fools pranks played by and on both Nick and Bob. This discussion would've gone way over the two hour mark of the show, but a sudden headache with eye pain forced Nick to end it just as things were picking up. Given that he was sick for most of the week, it shouldn't have been a surprise...Regardless, the show was very much enjoyable. It's all yours!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for March 15, 2019

Beware the Ides...Of Bob. Bob couldn't hear anything as we began the show, but he wasn't paying attention and didn't realize we were on the air...How fun. Two days before St. Patrick's Day, we observe another tradition as two characters who can't stand each other make their annual appearance. We pick up where we left off discussing game shows, conjoining it with a discussion of bloopers, as Alex Trebek's bloopers remind us of Casey kasem's own bloopers. We also introduce you to an obscure game show from the late 90s called Inquisition, featuring a rather unique host. Finally, we discuss Football kicker names, including one that's entirely too funny and one that appeared in our studio, Chris Blewitt and Cody Parkey. All that plus phone calls and Skype Calls...and uncontrollable listener reactions...It's all here. Enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for March 8, 2019

While this show was funny from the word go, particularly because Nick unearthed a long buried intro, you could describe this episode as follows...Game shows and keyboards. This show absolutely flew by on two subjects almost entirely. In the wake of the news about Alex Trebek’s cancer diagnosis, most of the first hour and all of the second were dedicated to discussion of game shows. Trebek, in particular, was spoken of in reverential tones, as hosts and listeners alike struggled with whether they should be in an extended mourning period of a man universally seen as irreplaceable. But how do we believe network executives will handle this? We have strong thoughts. We also play a clip from an insane show created by Chuck Barris, a dangerous mind if ever there was one...And no, it’s not the Gong Show. Other than a few phone calls that deviated, only one thing broke the game show focus...The top 7 worst sounding keyboard switches of all time, from Thomas the keyboard guy. Don’t miss Bob’s hysterical reactions to this dutchy’s use of vocabulary. We’ve rarely experienced a show that moved so fast on such a narrow focus...Download another, well received show!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for March 1, 2019

STRONG ISLAND! On the heels of an Islanders destruction of the Toronto Maple Leafs in which the fans were merciless in ripping a lying traitor named Jon Tavares, this afternoon show has your hosts extremely proud and wanting to talk about it. The overarching discussion was about sports being one of the only two forms of entertainment where loud, proud, emotional reactions are highly encouraged. To illustrate this, we play audio from the Tavares roast, as well as older audio of Nick's, Bob's, and Venison's greatest bits of screaming sports happiness. We also imagine exactly what might happened if you reacted as you do to sports in normal, every day life...Here's an idea. Don't! For an example of near orgasmic levels of happiness that border on the creepy, we play the "Excited Train Guy". Nothing more need be said. Finally, as a result of our second listener-created Bee Gees reference in two weeks, we play a certain public service announcement they made about losing your penis, and hear one of the craziest stories ever from Venison along those same lines. This show was incredibly focused, fun, and well received. We hope you enjoy it as well!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 22, 2019

As far as Eric Bugenhagen is concerned, this show picked up where last week left off, following up with the man behind the gimmick and proving that this gimmick, despite fans' love for it, might be even stupider than first thought. Alex is back with another mashup, but this time, it's a truly unique concept you have to hear to believe. Our weekly Madlibs were themed around Jayson Smith, and Venison gave us some thought starters for next week's involving him. We relive a bit that hasn't happened since we did it, the Slam Dunk contest, as the NBA had its skills competition recently, and Gemma has, thus far, line of the year. It was cohesive and it was fun...Download it!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 15, 2019

Groundhogs and glam metal...If you need to describe this show in a phrase, there it is, because the two dominant segments of the show were exactly that. A few weeks late, Beyond Barry, everyone's favorite grumpy groundhog makes his return to the studio...But this time, he's not alone. It might be one of the ten weirdest things we've ever seen in studio, and we thank god it happened before the show because we could not handle the irony of the whole thing. The other major segment was an observational one, as WWE debuted a new wrestler in its NXT developmental territory. His name? Eric Bugenhagen. You will not believe his glam metal/70s rock gimmick, which is so over the top as to defy description. Why, exactly, did it get over? Nick and Bob are still trying to find out. We also play a call that Jayson Smith made to a technical support radio show from the mid 90s, which really gave Nick and our listeners some nostalgia. Other than that, this heavily shortened show features voice calls and Madlibs...Enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 8, 2019

For the better part of a decade, Alex Krier has been a long term listener, making numerous calls and sending in many musical productions. He stars in this show, sending in one of his earliest calls with prerecorded interjections from the present, where he makes fun of his own "narcissism". This, deservedly, dominated the second hour, while a mashup he made featuring the Baby Shark was the marquis attraction of the first. The show was rounded out by an unexpected appearance of Jim Bob Cooter for the first time in a few months, bringing news that Nick had not heard to this point. Finally, Bob plays Madlibs, brought to you by the Google assistant, in a feature we hope to turn into a weekly event. All that plus the voice calls make up this episode of the Digital Domain.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 1, 2019

Bob was busy, Nick had a head cold, thus last week's show did not happen. Owing to an Islander game the same night...they lost...This week was an afternoon show. Nick was in full game show mode, deciding to play some of the funniest moments in game show history. From bad answers to amusing questions, we laughed at all of it. Jayson Smith has finally tired of Gentoo, the Linux distribution. Of course, we had to play a certain old, associated bit. Within Temptation released their new album Resist the same day...And Nick is not happy about how they chose to promote it versus what we actually got. That discussion took place. Finally, a day before Groundhog Day, we hear both TBRN appearances of our grumpy groundhog, Beyond Barry. PS. Nick may be about to play with things...Watch our Twitter.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 18, 2019

Long time listener Sanna Astikainen and her friend Kati Jaatinen made the lengthy trip from Finland to visit Nick. Being in studio for the show is all part of the experience, and the two of them decided to take it all in. While they didn't say much, they did make their presence known when talking about what they did during the week. Nick also acquired an Orangewood Manhattan acoustic guitar for Sanna's use...but who stole it a day before Nick was to return it? You'll find out...we all did. Stopher is back with his round table, making an idiot of himself as usual, but not as big of an idiot as one wedding DJ who Nick and Bob agree might be the worst ever. It is not possible to make more of a professional jerk of yourself than this guy does. Finally, we have the best Delain song in 13 years, according to Nick. Bob had to gig at the end of this show, necessitating it to be shortened, but it was worth it in the end.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 4, 2019

Happy New Year! Christmas has come and gone, and the recaps ensue, featuring Jayson's favorite gift and Sammy's time with Derek. As a result of the latter, we introduce the world to one of her compositions, recorded and mixed by Derek and company over the break. Bob rang in his New Year in the usual fashion and at the usual place...How drunk did he get? We had an in depth discussion about inappropriate laughter...Don't miss the story from Derek involving an inappropriately turned up microphone in church. Phone calls, Skype calls...It's a relaxed beginning to the new year. Enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Year End Spectacular for December 21, 2018

Christmas and Comedy...That's how we describe the show's wild first two hours in as few words as possible. We find out if Santa Claus is ready for Christmas 2018, juxtaposed with audio of him visiting a house from a previous year. We make our traditional visit to the trains, but the trains aren't the star of the show...Someone else is. Gifts are exchanged...Bob plays with his later in the show, but Nick is so shocked by his that he goes into full on processing/autopilot mode, leading one listener to ask if he actually wants it? Closing the second hour, a narrative version of the Twelve Days of Christmas from the perspective of the recipient makes us howl with laughter...just in time for the third hour. The centerpiece of said third hour is arguably the most sentimental montage to date. Nick tells both the on air and off air story of our year by his choices of clips and music, leading to much raw emotion from hosts and listeners alike. It's the best year end show we've ever done and the longest Domain of the TBRN era. We hope you enjoy it, and will see you again in 2019. ...PS. DRUNKEN GIRL FIGHT!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for December 14, 2018

The penultimate show of the year is the calm before the storm...albeit we hope not literally. Its content was Christmas themed, picking up where last week left off. Jayson sent us some incredibly funny pieces of audio. The first was from a barbershop quartet and one member’s attempt to perform “The Night Before Christmas”. The second? Brad Paisley. We remember one of Nick’s favorite sports moments everr and HKC Radio’s last big unified moment, six years ago to the day. We also, in a nod to one of our show’s traditions, dissect one of the worst Christmas songs ever recorded, and we give the hints for each other’s Christmas gifts, to be presented next week, weather permitting. Download this afternoon show and relax...We did.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for December 7, 2018

We're back! After a longer than expected break due to a Bob illness and Nick's vacation, it's time for the final three shows of the year, and we started off with a bang. We begin by talking a lot about the ludicrous PC backlash to classic Christmas songs...It's gotten out of control and we finally speak up about it. Simultaneous to that, Nick really wishes Christmas were in summer...he wishes everything was summer...But what would Christmas songs sound like if Nick got his wish? Nick had a bad customer service experience at a Florida bowling alley...and he was recording as it happened. In between the last show and this one, WWE superstar Daniel Bryan turned heel for the first time since 2013, before the Yes movement that inspired Islander fans to chant after goals. What could he possibly do to make wrestling fans actually boo him? Find out. The New York Mets made their first major player acquisition of the Brodie Van Wagenen era, touching off a discussion of closer entrance music. We think far too much about this, but at the end of the discussion, Bob has...another mishap. Oh no! And what new skill does Chip Chipperson think he learned? Phone calls, Skype calls, 19th Century Jingle Bells, and more round out the show...And Dominick the Donkey says Hi!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for November 9, 2018

It's the tail of two shows...The first hour was silly, featuring audio from 2011 of a newscaster staying professional when her body made it difficult. Nick also has a headphone horror story stemming from what he learned from his visit to Beyerdynamic's United States headquarters the day before. Rounding out the hour, the works of Harry Turtledove are discussed for probably the first time ever on a comedy show. The second hour was entirely serious, however...Bob's friend John G. Struck, otherwise known as 'Big Daddy', unexpectedly lost his life at age 65. With memories of previous significant show-related deaths at the front of our minds, we have an unusually heavy discussion concerning societal expectations of friendships, the value of emotions, and the necessity of open conversation about both items. Death is not the only thing that could make you regret what you do not say. As you listen to this show, we ask you to remember that and act on it.

The Digital Domain online Radio Show for November 2, 2018

Nick's New York Mets have hired a former player agent named Brodie Van Wagenen to be their new general manager. Nick was not happy after listening to his introductory press conference, and chose to share that unhappiness with Bob and the world. Bob went nuclear...hilarity ensued. Take a journey to an old elevator in Brooklyn, and hear the serious improvement over how it sounded years ago. The second hour was, deservedly, dominated by the introduction of a new broadcaster who completes a long journey to doing so. Phone calls, Skype calls, text messages - working very well now - and more...It was a solid show overall.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for October 19, 2018

Here we go again! Nick's brain took a trip elsewhere before this show, but at least he was self-aware enough to notice and test heavily as a result. That did solve the bulk of the problems, but that doesn't mean there weren't any...It won't take long to hear a particularly embarrassing one. The show's content properly begins with a rant from a podcaster about the abominable New York Giants...One liners and crying somehow manage to go together. A gear reviewer, guitarist, and metalhead does a series of segments called "rate or roast my rig". What is that, and why did it make Nick take his shaver out of its case in the second hour? Finally, a long time favorite, Olaf the speaker guy, gets into a battle with a fly. He won, but it was a close run thing, and provided much hilarity to close out a relatively quiet show.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for October 12, 2018

Right off the bat, we began with interesting ideas involving dreams and experiences of sleep, thanks to Bob's pre-show nap. Notice also a mild to moderate improvement in phone sound quality...for the first time in many years, phones now sound essentially flawless. Marianne Faithful's appearance on a Metallica song, however, does not. We talk about that and use it as a springboard to debut a new mashup from Derek...What will wind up in your head longer? That's for you to decide. The show was interspersed with an article Nick read about the dumbest injuries in sports...Laugh along with us at athletic misfortune, and be grateful that listeners haven't badly injured themselves in similar ways. Portable recorders, another recording Bob made at a concert, and continuation of Clark's flirtation with a listener round out the show, which ended with Nick reading a musical satire. Enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for October 5, 2018

A show done with a Behringer X32 Producer as your mixer is never supposed to clip...But three minutes before they aired, Nick's brain took a major hit, and his ability to think was compromised throughout the show. Consequences ranged from obvious to subtle, and most of them were humorous, thank God. Other than nick's brain, we have an amusing moment involving nick from 2003, awkwardness involving Clark McGwin and a long time listener...who wasn't listening...Recorded destruction, and the usual chatter. Nick battled as long as he could, but it wasn't good enough, meaning the show was significantly shortened...Oh well.

The Digital Domain Online 16th Anniversary: September 28, 2018

It's been 16 years to the day since the debut of the Digital Domain Online Radio Show, but how do we celebrate when a herculean effort was put into last year's anniversary? By simply doing our show as we always do, while sprinkling odes from Nick and cameos from listeners, including a woman who would literally teach Nick 2 days after the original first show. Speaking of that first show, nick tells the story of the entire day in a way never done before, which really points out how amazing it is that Nick and Bob are still together. The remainder of that first hour was the detailed story of Bob's eye surgery, and the ludicrous things said to him by legalistic medical professionals. The show's silliness opened up in the second hour, making fun of YouTube voices doing various things, most notably a dutch computer keyboard enthusiast named Thomas with golden pipes. The show closed with a bang....and yes, we're being quite literal. What do we mean? Download this show...and we thank you for tuning in.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for September 14, 2018

It's the last show before Bob has eye surgery, and a very last minute change to an afternoon show. The stress is evident, and it boils over after playing a new project from Floor jansen. With that warning out of the way, the show is notable in that the microphone array got perfected, as the level and plosive protection were set properly for the sE Electronics V7 that Bob now uses. A character from last week returns, allowing Nick to take out his frustrations...We hear a dis track from Colin Cowherd, make fun of the Cincinnati Bengals terrible fight song, and go over a top 10 list submitted by Alex. Enjoy?

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for September 7, 2018

Bob is talking to you on an sE Electronics V7 for the entire show, and Nick turned on Auto-mix for most of it. The result is the most professional sounding show done to date, save for issues with plosives which Nick will attempt to fix soon. Thunderstorms don't phase Nick or Bob, except for ridiculous ones such as Long Island received the day before. Here some audio, and some stories, from that. The biggest independent wrestling show ever, All In, occurred last Saturday. What did Nick think of it, and what spot made his former teacher, Heather, laugh uncontrollably when he brought it up? In conjunction, which one of Bob's worst nightmares did Heather experience on that very same day? Two new characters, for lack of a better description, made their first appearance on this show. Both were fine demonstrations of Auto-Mix in action, and one touched off discussions of dukes of hazard horns, weird names, and Football. Between all that and the idea of making love in a microwave...Do I have to say it again? This show was insane!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 31, 2018

It's a busy day at the Digital Domain studios, filled with deliveries...and not just the two food orders from DoorDash. In the morning, Nick's Dad had a pickup truck delivered to him. Nick got to take his first ride, and he was a lot more impressed than he expected to be. We go over microphone demonstrations, from the Electrovoice ND76 (amusing), to the sE Electronics V7X (totally incompetent). This leads into the final delivery of the day, Nick's brand new sE Electronics V7. Bob uses it for the second hour...it's an amazing microphone, but is it right for Bob? Like last week, we go back to an old occurrence of the Domain's characters playing Dodgeball, which Bob hadn't heard since 2010. Finally, we talk about various ways to destroy old microphones and screw up old tape, and the potentially amusing or moderately scientific results of same. This was our best show of the year so far, so much so that it ran overtime. Thank heaven no one was on after us!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 24, 2018

BattleBots, Football, and text messages? Yes, the Digital Domain now takes your text messages with an eye toward rolling this capability out to the rest of the staff. We had far too much fun with a preseason Football game...Well, Nick had fun, Bob got angry. Yes, it's as amusing as it sounds. The original run of BattleBots hired a boxing ring announcer, Mark Beiro to read amusing introductions for the robots that fought on the show. We listen to some of them, and Venison gets rather fanboy over the actual robot fights. An anonymous source tells us a story of what might be the worst thing that could happen to an old man in the meeting, and Olaf is back with a few JBL speaker ripoffs. Enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 17, 2018

As Twitter begins to squeeze the sanest ways people with disabilities use the service, the old tired cliches about it suddenly have new life breathed in. Talk of this and of TBRN's future plans dominated most of the first hour, and the rest of it was dominated by reminiscence of the big 2003 Blackout, whose anniversary was this week. Bob, Krista, and their friends went to an Evanescence concert that exceeded Bob's already high expectations...And Bob was recording. Here talk, and a song, of that. Alex has a very old speech synthesizer read about very modern technology. Retro tech talk would, of course, ensue, but find out Alex's opinions on modern speech technology...they might surprise you. Finally, a mashup is played that really shouldn't make sense. Despite the slower pace of interactions forced upon the show by Twitter's decisions...this week anyway...the show was enjoyed by those who listened to it.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 10, 2018

What does a game for the blind have to do with a singing Croatian moron? Not much, but something. An innocent comment from Bob opened a rabbit hole of speech synthesizer comedy, including some of the worst and best of that genre...best being a very subjective term. Finally, it's been 15 years since the first major live broadcast Nick and Bob ever did...How bad was it? Nick and Bob dissect it as only they can.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 3, 2018

This show nearly didn't happen. Why? Nick's gonna tell you all about it, including a rather amusing bump that was taken just before issues began happening. Who took the bump and how? Why should this description tell you? Nick's a bit of a fumble-fingers on this show, including an amusing problem that happens when Nick loads the wrong scene on his mixer. But is Bob's best reaction contained on this archive, or will you have to find out what it was at the end of the year? German dudes knock over dummy binaural heads, more Psychostick at the request of Alex, Derek made a mashup several weeks before this show with a rather amusing concept, which those who hadn't heard finally got to hear, and Bob shows off the worst rehearsal bloopers from his summer job's show. Enjoy?

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for July 27, 2018

The yin and the yang show themselves very well on this episode. The main news was the new album from Psychostick surprisingly dropping two days before airtime, which had a fantastic lead in thanks to Alex mashing up metal with rap...What songs got the treatment? The new Psychostick also brought us an absolute earworm that had to be played twice. Check that out. After the first Psychostick segment, we had clips of the show Bob's current summer camp employers have him running...Followed directly by a heavy song dedicated in hate from Nick to his ex girlfriend. What did we say about the yin and the yang? The show's pendulum would swing in the same way throughout the evening, so download it if you want a wild ride!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for July 20, 2018

It all began with an innocent comment from Nick, explaining why this archive, and all future ones, won't have a long leading silence at the beginning. Then, all hell broke loose. The solution to that problem triggered talk about the BBC, in the form of Jayson asking about a piece of intro music we later would find out is titled "Lillibullero". From there, the show became a lengthy music discussion with very little deviation, including changing songs from major to minor and the lawsuit culture pervasive in the music business. Finally, we have a new Canadian listener...is she out for a rip? Was there other mildly to moderately Canadian content? It all joined together to create the archive you see here.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for july 13, 2018

Bad rap ended up dominating the second hour of this show, as we played an incredibly badly executed, albeit still funny, diss track from radio host Dave LaGreca. Said track would have us copying the idea, as well as reliving our own bad rap creations from years gone by. Carla Bruni (Sarkozy) is a former French First Lady, guitarist, and singer. But what does her English cover album sound like? Lincoln has jumped the shark with their seats in the new navigator Black Label, and A certain Youtube Kyle shows us why, triggering talk of some of the weirdest car accidents ever. Phone calls, messages, the rather amusing outline of Bob's current summer camp job's show, and the usual frivolity help round out a fun episode.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for July 6, 2018

25 years ago to the day, Bob took a job at Helen Keller Camp, the day camp where he met first Nick's sister Krista, then Nick himself. All three are in studio during the second hour to talk about camp memories as we commemorate this silver anniversary. But this show wasn't all memories. Bob brings us a lot of audio, starting with the fireworks he watches every year on the waters off Long Island. There's also a collection of amazingly bad auditions from the summer camp (NOT HELEN KELLER!) where Bob now works. Do kids realize they're not forced to audition? Finally, what did Ray have at a Japanese restaurant? One listener really wants to know. You can find this out, and more, by downloading this archive.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for June 29, 2018

Six years to the day after Nick debuted his Peavey 16FX mixer, he debuts a brand new one, the Behringer X32 Producer. This touched off a wholesale change in the way the show sounds, the biggest in a little over a decade. He expected issues. There were some, but they were subtle in nature, rendering the first show with the new board remarkably smooth. The focus of this show was audio...Bob and some friends had far too much fun on the bed of a pickup truck. How much of a fool did Bob make of himself...stone cold sober? There's also audio of the same group at an engagement party, where a much more drunk Bob proved that making a fool of himself comes easy to him no matter what the state. There were also two incredible productions from Alex, demonstrating an amazing tool called PhonicMind. What is its purpose and why is it so amazing? The answer to that, and more, can be found in this archive...Nick was ecstatic over how this show turned out.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for June 1, 2018

Holly Sterling showed up to be third mic on this show for the first time, bringing her poetry and music skills and entertaining the listeners. Nick found more commercials from the year's weirdest ad campaign. Jayson Smith tells a story about instacart. More happens. Nick's in a rush again, and he's sorry for this description's brevity...same tech issue as last time. Happy Birthday?

The Digital DOmain ONline Radio Show for May 25, 2018

Nick would write a detailed description for this show, but he made a serious technical error and is now having to make technical decisions on the run. He's sorry, but there won't be too much detail here. Suffice it to say that Monty's taking a crazy train trip, Nick went back to the Middle School and has stories to tell, and we talk about classical melodies in commercials, plus much more.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for May 18, 2018

We're back! With two hosts itching to get back in the saddle, this show had a chance to be really interesting. But Nick's rust showed as he accidentally connected to the wrong place to stream...He thought he was on the air when he wasn't. Whoops! Why were we off the air for three weeks anyway? Bob Sarnowski explains it all to you, touching off a lively discussion about said explanation. Continuing from the previous show, Bob performed a rather impressive range test of JBL Connect+ with his JBL Flip 4 and Boombox. Why could it possibly get even better? Stay tuned to future shows to find out why. Bob's lending Nick his JBL Xtremes, after an experiment Nick conducted with a pair of Bose SoundLink Revolve+ speakers failed. What was he attempting to do, and why did it necessitate the JBL Xtremes coming out again? Nick found some advertising campaigns that were rather laughable, but that segment ended up being cut short as Alex made a production that had your two radio hosts absolutely howling. For all the off time, this show was well worth the wait.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April 20, 2018

4-20! Stories of that type were found throughout the show. Bob celebrated by making a dream of 17 years come true...He recorded This. How was the reaction to that? Find out. We subtly paid tribute to Avicii by using his music as beds throughout the show. A friend of Bob's routinely gets rather stoned, and we played clips of her at her highest. Bob's got a brand new Bluetooth speaker, the JBL Boombox which we discovered back in September. Both Nick and Bob had some time to play with it, and recorded their findings. Plus, some surprises from a TBRN staff member...Who and what? This show put your brain in a frying pan!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April 13, 2018

This year's show number 13 was on Friday the 13th. Did we know it? Was that an omen? How lucky can anyone be when using the guts of a microwave as a UHF gun? Some Russian sounding dudes might have an answer. We talk about whacky Australian commercials, old tech, and the things we'd do were there time travel. We replay the Revenge of the Washing Machine, after a little discussion of said appliances. Jim Cornette is back...Let's see what we think about what he thinks. And trust me, it was funnier than it sounds. Chaos, thy names are Nick and Bob.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April 6, 2018

Bob sarnowski has weird dreams. What did he dream while napping in Nick's recliner? Find out, and enjoy much conversation of that ilk. It's a few days after April Fool's, so which character, or characters, make rare appearances on this show? The new Kamelot album was released today, so we play a song from it and talk about it for longer than expected. That Kamelot album also gave us a brand new outro. Phone calls, messages, insanity...It's the Digital Domain. Enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for March 30, 2018

Welcome to Good Friday on the Digital Domain. Now, brush your teeth! Jayson Smith discovered an Alexa skill to help kids do just that. Bob had a devil of a time attending an Islander game. He explains his frustrations to the listeners, then takes them out on the team with audio from said game. New York Yankee ham announcer john Sterling has crazy calls whenever Yankees hit homers...But we might've found the silliest/consensus worst one ever. That discussion was a springboard point for us to talk about sportscasters breaking character on air. Finally, enjoy a symphony of destruction, brought to you by WWE, Elias, and Braun Strowman. Have at it!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for March 23, 2018

NBA players aren't exactly renowned for their non-Basketball intelligence. An article Nick discovered before the show demonstrates why. We make fun of that. A lot. What goes through Bob's mind on a regular basis? This show gives you an example involving the old musical Annie. Alex brings us a montage of his life, which touched off a discussion of nostalgic tech. Auri is a new Nightwish side project. Bob really likes it, so we play one track thereof. All that plus the randomness...These description endings are getting really repetitive, aren't they? Enjoy the download!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for March 16, 2018

Bob Sarnowski was late, so Sean o'Hannity, the conservative Leprechaun, chose to host this afternoon show one day before St. Patrick's Day. The listeners, and Nick, thanked God it would only last for a few minutes. But that didn't mean o'Hannity would leave, however. He and Clark McGwin would interject throughout the show, arguing with each other in intervals until a certain character returned for the first time in months. Who? Find out. Club Soda Kenny revisits some old fantasies...how disturbing are they? We attempt to demonstrate functions of the trains one more time...notice we say "attempt", and see what happened there. Plus, amusing talk about tech support, and the randomness that comes with our show on a weekly basis.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for March 9, 2018

One week off due to a snowstorm breeds much content including audio. What did that storm sound like? Bob Sarnowski shows you. Other odd audio includes Bob's band being interrupted by Bagpipes, Fi playing rubber bands, and one woman's near-disastrous attempts at plugging a violin into a public address system. Nick plays what he calls a "textbook bad song", but what do Bob and the listeners think? From the same bad song comes a whole ton of sports talk, eventually culminating in one weird article submitted by Ray. A host of one of Nick's favorite radio shows got his voice produced into Mumble Rap, Stopher mumbles about various subjects in the second episode of his roundtable, and Bob and Nick return for their second demonstration of Lionel trains. It's wall-to-wall fun at a frenetic pace!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 23, 2018

For the first time in a long time, we ended up extending our show due to having so much fun...with our annual Silly Songs Night! In another unusual occurance, we ended up legitimately focusing on this concept, including but not limited to the Bee Gees self-parody and one of the most absurd metal songs ever written. What do goats have to do with this? You'll just have to find out. We fulfill some longtime listener requests by beginning the first in a three part, in depth series on Lionel trains. We also begin another new series, Stopher's round table, where you can laugh along as a lovable idiot answers crazy questions about random things. Finally, but importantly, we had many messages and phone calls from new listeners and old, who were particularly energetic this evening. This helped to keep our own spirits higher than usual. It's safe to say that this was our best show of the year so far...If it's longer than usual, it has to be good.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 16, 2018

Bob Sarnowski is a disturbed individual, making his Amazon Echo say random stuff in Spanish. You won't believe what it translated...and neither did Liz, Nick's ex Spanish teacher, who made her first ever TBRN appearance during this afternoon show. Unusual instruments played a part in this show...Two weird little Australian dudes, plus Riikka, brought us Whistle Pops, Sanna demonstrates an African thing whose name we don't know, and Medina has a nose flute. And yes, you read that right. What mishaps could happen while demonstrating these instruments? Find out. Speaking of which, a recording studio mishap triggered one of the most enduring drum sounds of the 1980's. Find out what that is. And we here from "Me, myself, and I." What does that mean? This archive holds all the answers.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 9, 2018

It's another afternoon in the life of Nick and Bob, with more insanity to go with it. The Apple HomePod is shipping, but Sonos welcomed it with a rather amusing Spotify playlist. We talk about that. With Valentine's Day coming up, we go over a Joe nichols song we discovered in the summer that might be Bob's new theme song, which lead to us playing a long time Valentine's day favorite we produced. Casey Grillo has left Kamelot, but that doesn't stop us from replaying the worst Voiceover ever...How did our listeners react? Plates and tiles break. Alex sings. Someone sneezes. Listeners write and call in...Including one listener who helped us get our start back in 2002, but who has never been on our show before. Enjoy the archive!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 2, 2018, Groundhog Day

Did Bob Sarnowski see his shadow? Well, maybe this question will be answered, as well as the annual visit from our grumpy groundhog, Beyond Barry. We talked a bit about the Super Bowl and sports team rooting interests, particularly with our good friend Ray and our drunken friend Venison. Fi played a straw last week, but who did it this week, surprising the hell out of Bob? Alexa may be about to get a new voice, but something crazy happened to Nick and Bob in relation to that. Plus, Nick loves metal, even the more tuneless metal. Can Venison still freak him out with the extreme stuff? All this and more on a full length show. Download and enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 26, 2018

To some extent, this show picked up where the last left off, only even sillier and wider in scope. Yes, there were recordings of things breaking during the show, but there was also a higher than average number of bad jokes and puns, many of which surrounded the name of one of our listeners. Unfortunately, this show was shortened due to a sudden energy dip from Nick, but not before we heard some of the most infectious laughter ever as Bob commits a mishap...one he'd already committed 53 weeks previously. Does this description do this show's chaos justice? Download and find out!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 19, 2018

Some shows are thoroughly random, whereas others have an overriding theme. This one had an overriding theme. Thanks to a pre-show conversation with Fi, the theme was...breaking things! Hear amusing recordings of everything from toilet paper dispensers to garbage disposals breaking while the microphones were turned on. Are there things that don't break that, by rights, should? Why, Yes, there are, and you'll hear about that as well. And did Derek's Roomba break his studio setup? All of this for your listening pleasure on this episode.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 12, 2018

Happy New Year! ...12 days late, but who cares. This show is the first of a new sonic era, as both Nick and Bob are using different microphones, a Shure SM7B and a Shure Beta58A respectively. There are still some slight issues with the setup and levels, but they will be corrected as the year goes on. Relive Bob's ringing in of the New Year at the homestead...how drunk did he get? What is the worst punishment possible for hopping a turnstile? Who is Uncle Clutch? Does Uncle Paul sound like a one time WWE writer? All that plus phone and Skype calls to begin the year with a bang!

The Digital Domain online Christmas show for December 22, 2017

Goodbye, 2017! But before that, Merry Christmas! And that's our show in a nutshell. While many phone calls from the listeners sparked much chit chat, Nick and Bob made a very special visit to nick's trains. But Nick couldn't believe what his newest train acquisition did. The annual opening of the gifts was its usual fun, but Nick had a mishap, and it's too bad a bed was running because it really did sound amazing! Finally, relive some of the best laughs with our tenth annual year end montage. Download now, and see you next year!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for December 15, 2017

if last week hadn't been necessary, this would've resembled the show we would've done upon our return from Florida. The wide focus was audio. Listen to Nick ride in his Uncle's Chevy Corvette Stingray, including his Uncle's constant exaggeration. But Nick wasn't exaggerating at all when the subject turned to Bowling, as he had some of his best experiences at a bowling alley he'd never been to, but not before he'd had one of the worst possible bowling experiences due to inconsiderate morons. In the second hour, which was shortened due to accumulating snow forcing Bob out of the studio, Bob played audio of a mouse in his baseboard heating. No, we're not kidding. But he also played audio of a barroom brawl he whitnessed at the Homestead, and the sounds of his surprise Birthday party, including a woman who could most charitably be described as a tease. How did a drunk Bob take it? Download to find out!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show celebrates the Life of Rich Cavallaro: December 8, 2017

On the morning of November 17, 2017, Rich Cavallaro, long time friend of Nick and Bob's, access technology trainer, and all around weirdo, lost his life at age 28. The entirety of this show is a tribute to Rich. One of Rich's best friends, Ray Bartolomeo, joined us in studio to help us tribute him completely. There are phone calls from many of Rich's friends, and guests representing Rich's life history, particularly relating to his technical career, such as jonathan Mosen and Joe Steinkamp. More than anything, it was a cathartic, raw experience that Rich would've loved. Rest in peace. The Cavallaro family invites you to donate to The Piano Man Fund, a music scholarship in his name to keep his memory alive.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for November 10, 2017

There is no proper description for this show. There will never be a proper description for this show. There can never be a proper description for this show, because it outdoes anything this show has ever done...as far as WTF is concerned, anyway. Have fun!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show For November 3, 2017

Once the usual introductory material passed, this show became a well-assembled unit. It started with a clip Nick found, following up the wrestling-related audio from two weeks ago, as Jim Cornette excoriates one of his least favorite wrestlers. Don't miss it when Jayson Smith attempts to do his best Cornette impression, cutting a scathing promo on Bob with more swearing than Jayson's ever conducted in his life, we think. Yes, this show is very much NSFW. Seeing AI might be old news, but did it guess Bob's age when most humans do not? Find out. But then, it's right back to the wrestling again as Venison actually describes the event Jim Cornette loathes from the earlier clip. Might Cornette actually have a point? Misty incriminates herself pretty spectacularly. Find out what she said, unintentionally, providing nearly a half hour of radio on its own. But the joke is back on Bob when Misty's line is used in a phone number dialing experiment. Yet we would've never done that experiment had Jayson not informed us of a rather different time and temperature announcement. Jayson didn't like it, but what did your hosts think? Oh, and Venison informed the show that it is "National Sandwich Day", discussion of which occurred throughout. In short, it's organized chaos! Find out just how apt those two words really are.

The DigitalDomain Online Radio Show for October 27, 2017

This show conducted an experiment. How would Bob sound if he used a Shure BETA 58A dynamic microphone rather than his usual Cad C195 condenser? Why did Nick choose to conduct that one week only experiment? Find out in this archive. Many listeners called and wrote in who otherwise wouldn't, the result of this being an afternoon show at the last minute. Nick rants about the New York Islanders' bad organizational decision making, which evolved into making fun of a rather boring player's rather boring name. Finally, we remember Superstorm Sandy with recordings of Bob and his cousin as they amusingly try to guide their family through the storm and its aftermath. For an early show at the very last minute, this turned out pretty well.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for October 20, 2017

Nick may be reusing computer names, but he doesn't care. This is the first show to be done with Anneke, whose specs have been spoken of on previous shows. But Nick's had a very bad technical week...How much did it show? Enjoy those stories and cringe along. A discussion of a wrestler doing fair to bad impressions sparked a wave of audio and discussion of said audio. The bulk of it was submitted by Alan, was wrestling related, and really quite hilarious. A brand new song from Anneke's namesake and an amusing line from Linda about the upcoming WWE Pay-Per-View round out this truly weird show. Did anything break? download and find out!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for October 13, 2017

This show was the last to ever be streamed with Elize, Nick’s likely final hand-built computer, which came online in 2013. Technical problems ended up plaguing it, particularly dealing with the toll-free number and Skype. That is not to say there wasn’t voice interaction, as many phone calls were made by other means. Nick takes you behind the scenes when Derek and he mastered the definitive history of the domain, where Derek’s self-aware observations stole the show. Go to the Homestead with Bob as the Yankees win a playoff series, and the usual denizens truly go ape. A sports reactions discussion was had afterward, where we played some contrasting audio from the Islanders’ appearance in the playoffs last year. But more than anything else, it’s phone calls and tech problems. Enjoy!

The Digital Domain Online 15th Anniversary show for September 29, 2017

On September 28, 2002, a 13 year old kid named Nick and his ex-camp counselor Bob decided to bring their pretend radio show to the internet. 15 years and 1 day later, they’re still doing their thing, and this show is nothing less than an extended celebration of this milestone. The show had numerous voice calls, in fact it was dominated by voice calls, including one from one of Nick’s old braille teachers named Heather. Yes, she preceded to incriminate Nick quite nicely. The show was centered on the debut of the history documentary you see above, which did its job, conveying the emotionalism and fun of the Digital Domain’s 15 year history. If a 2 hour and 45 minute thank you to the listeners suits your fancy, then download this show. Nick and Bob promise that it will be very enjoyable.

The Digital Domain Online Enzo Show for September 15, 2017

His name is Enzo Amore, and he is, a certified G and a...yeah, you can't teach this description how to have a point. Yes, Enzo, as a result of Nick's losing of the Yankees/Mets bet, is hosting along with Bob in half of the show...only half, for reasons that will become clear when you listen. But during Enzo's second appearance, someone enters the studio for the first time since 2013. Who? And who else makes first time appearances on the show? Find out. There's also a lot of talk about Nick's new/old Mac Pro, the debut of a new promo for one of our upcoming shows, and a new speaker guy who's voice makes for instant hilarity. Download this show...it's off the reservation!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for September 8, 2017

Terrible Music or not...debates of pop songs and albums once again leave Nick and Bob on opposing sides. Bob even forced Nick to listen to one of the worst songs ever recordedd. Enjoy talk of great mash ups to balance that out. hear drunken guys who love being with 'the band', whatever that means. Did the eclipse jump the shark? Finally, preview of the next week's craziness, as Enzo Amore practices for the next week's bet payoff.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 18, 2017

No description available.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 11, 2017

This slightly extended show was action packed, and packed with listeners too, including a first time caller and a first time/long time caller. The bulk of the beginning had us hashing out the gentleman’s bet of the series between the New York Mets, Nick, and the New York Yankees, Bob. What will they have to do if their respective team loses? We play a few produced bits that debuted on this day 11 years ago, and blow Bob’s mind, as well as the listeners, with amazing mashups from Derek and Jessica. This description is not all encompassing, not by a longshot. Download this show!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 4, 2017

For the first time in far too long, we open an action packed show with a brand new sweeper. Why is Bob Sarnowski being wrapped up in tinfoil, and by whom? What does this have to do with furry windscreens, duct tape, and broadcaster recruitment? Find out...it will not be easy to miss. The album from Exit Eden drops today, so we play another track from that...enjoy our reaction. What exactly is a Subway Royal Rumble? You'll hear our reaction to that audio. Finally, enjoy some of our favorite clips of elevator photography, including a new one we had not heard before. This show contained tons of laughs from beginning to end...download it!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for July 21, 2017

The first hour of this show was very conversational. What's a curette? And how did Nick get acquainted with one? Much talk of doorbells, cruise ships, and boom boxes/jam boxes/ghetto blasters. We then begin to introduce Exit Eden, a band of 4 vocalists featuring Amanda Somerville, whose first album consists of pop music covers. But of course, Amanda Somerville is involved, which means that Ivan Hrvatska makes his return to the studio. We then play his most significant appearance, featuring the 4 morons. What are we talking about? Download the show!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for july 14, 2017

The bulk of this shortened show focused on the debut, 11 years ago today, of Jed. Both Jethro and Jed arrived in studio to listen to Jed’s first ever appearance. We haven’t heard him the same way since. We also played some sillyness from a wedding Bob played, and went over some WWE entrance themes, as Bob was curious about something Linda said regarding whether WWE themes are metal or not.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for July 7, 2017

WWE would host an outstanding pay-per-view event the Sunday after this show aired. But what did they call it? Great Balls of Fire. We made fun of that throughout the show. Nick had a dreadful week relating to debit card fraud and Apple Pay. There’s audio from Bob’s July 4 holiday, as well as some point and laugh radio, where you can laugh at Bob drunk. Finally, we made fun of Groupon’s online video ad campaign, featuring a millennial sounding chick who really can’t sing.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for June 16, 2017

Friday Night Fights! June 16, 2006 was the most famous fight in Digital Domain history. As a result, we tribute all three fights that took place in our catalogue, the focus, of course, being on June 16. Nick reads a humorous faux story about a WWE wrestler, a child, and a steel cage. And of course, women flirt with Bob...including one long time listener who hasn't been around in quite a while.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for June 9, 2017

This show picked up where last week left off with A submission from Alan of an actually good! prank call from Whackhead Simpson. Prank calls would be a focal point of this shortened show, shortened due to a gig from Bob as well as both hosts slightly ailing. A new character named Jonathan shows up, a really bad! bit submitted by Krista, and the official announcement of the last 1AESS being decommissioned round out the show, among other things.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for June 2, 2017

Nick's mixer is back, and so are they. But the repair wasn't sunshine and rainbows, as we hear Nick's call to Peavey and make fun of the voice of the guy he got. Directly thereafter, we made fun of an NLS narrator named Mike Stefanelli for 30 minutes...Why? Listen to the show, of course. We reintroduced Match Game to the masses, and played a prank call by Justin Bieber, of all people. One listener said that he'd never heard a show full of so much laughter, so you know this show must've been good. Happy Birthday, Nick!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April 28, 2017

This afternoon show is our final show for a while, as Nick gets his mixer repaired before his warranty expires. Bob Sarnowski was tired and a little loopy during this one...Did it show? Much talk about GPS voices due to a story about Bob and some friends from the previous day lead to an appearance from Enzo and Cass. How exactly did that come around? In-Studio-Alex made his return after several years of absence, making Nick scream...how Can Alexa sing with the help of a skill? What do Tim the Tool Man Taylor, Goofy, and a host of others have in common? And why did Venison, sound unheard, describe this show as an "orgy", and was it accurate? Find out as we send off Nick's mixer for a few weeks.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April 21, 2017

"RUMBLE PONIES!" Why did Bob open the show by screaming those two words? What happened to Bob the previous week after the show, relating to an Uber driver and terrible roads? Who are Dr. Woo, the Funker, and Rick Shaw? And how exactly did the introduction of the Funker lead into a discussion of microphones? The answers to all of these questions can be found in this archive.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April 14, 2017

This Good Friday show started out with little plan, and ended up a silly-fest. Find out what happens when Journey gets inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame...yeah, we have exclusive audio. Listen to Nick's favorite wrestling promo thus far. We announce a new broadcaster. Sheep sing. Alex makes a new remix. Your writer has run out of words for the best show since January. Download!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April 7, 2017

11 years ago this day, we did the second most important show in our history. This was the first time since 2006 that April 7 fell on a Friday. Unfortunately, this show was done while Nick was having focus and processing issues. The first hour managed to resemble a conventional one, featuring the complete destruction of a radio caller from another show, Alexa flirting with Bob, and more nonsense from Alexa including its attempts at April Fools jokes. The second hour began to show the strain of Nick, and went off the rails when an argument over Pop music became uncomfortable for broadcasters and listeners alike. This archive, despite what you see here, has been requested by some of the loyal listeners, so we provide it to the rest of the world.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for March 24, 2017

We actually played with music beds! On a day where Bob got precious little sleep and had to host an afternoon show, this show got silly...we played with music beds! Sandi calls in multiple times during the show, including the most overt breakage of Bob yet, and discussions of airplanes were had. ...Music beds! Both Bob and Nick have been busted open in their childhoods...compare their head injuries. MUSIC BEDS! hell, there was even a rare call from Andre, and a dose of Buckley following up from last week. BUT...MUSIC BEDS! WE BROKE THE RULE AND MADE MUSIC BEDS THE ENTIRE POINT OF OUR CONTENT DURING A SEGMENT of THIS SHOW! AAAAAAHHHHHH!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for March 17, 2017

After a lengthy break caused by transportation trouble, Bob Sarnowski's return fostered our own on this St. Patrick's Day. The show was weird, even by Domain standards, dominated by interplay between Bob and our two new Danish listeners, Sandi and Heidi. Experience Bob and his friends surprising another friend and making a spectacle of themselves. A drunken Marianne was in amorous mode...and Bob was a target. We talk wrestling radio, as another radio host from another station is about to be put through a table by the great Bully Ray. Will the powerbomb from the bully be justified, and should one of our hosts be put through a table in the same fashion? Finally, we round out the show with another top 10 list, submitted to us, as always, by Alex.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 3, 2017

After a weird start complete with an unpleasant surprise before we introduce her, Maryanne Brown of Homestead fame is in the studio, an act years in the making. Find out why as the show goes on, including a recording of her and her band never before played. Bob drunk is about as obvious as the rising sun, but you hear audio of him at his slurring best, or perhaps worst. Did Nick and Bob see their shadows? A little visitor before the show may or may not help them figure it out. Finally, we touch on what we believe might be the worst female voiceover ever, something on which more details will come next week.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 27, 2017

Often times, you wonder what a tech support person does when angry at an intransigent customer. Well, if you're Hope from Maine, you play bass, of all things. Discussion of that ilk was had. We talk about music beds as a result of playing Allman Brothers instrumentals after the death of drummer Butch Trucks. We play a few new Xandria songs, including one that's completely screwed up. Alex does impressions. Bad jokes are told. There are possibly scatological anecdotes. Ass's hurt, or don't hurt as the case may be. Some wrestlers show up. This description jumps all over the place. It's our best show of the year so far. You should download it.

The Digital Domain Online WTF Show for January 20, 2017

Have you ever heard a radio show where the producer's mic is open, but he's doing little more than grunting? Dan Bongino has a producer very much like that. The bulk of the show is spent making fun of that concept. We relive a demo tape of Jed and Jethro's first attempt to broadcast when they actually had a computer...And go closer than this show has in a while to complete nonsense. Finally, listen to the show's conclusion, as Bob has an accident...only this particular episode could end like this.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 13, 2017

You might say that most of our shows can be described as free-for-alls, but this time, the description fits more than usual, because we literally went into this show with no plan. A submission from Gemma gets us off on a lively discussion about performances, vocals, and lip synching. Jayson sent us a clip of Western Electric cutting over an old telephone switch circa 1984, which lead to humor through most of the show. He also sent us a clip where he was talking to Derek on the phone while they were both attempting to call the show on December 23. Find out how it sounded when they realized they weren't on air. And yes, the same miniature pointless segment from last week returned...but this time, it was a little more interesting.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 6, 2017

The first show of the New Year is a rollicking one! It started out with Skype calls from the ladies listening, which, of course, broke Bob. That did effectively transition, however, to the playing of some noisy New Years audio from the homestead which, of course, bothered Nick's ears. Why? if you were around last year, you know, but if you weren't, download this archive. We talk about the fact that anything that proclaims itself to be 'New York-style' pretty much sucks if it's not from New York, with very few exceptions. is Bob's Amazon Echo Dot possessed? Does Alex have new speech synthesis stuff to demonstrate? Is there a really pointless miniature segment at the end of the show? Will you be able to stand listening to the archive? Find out by downloading it.

The Digital Domain Online Christmas Show for December 23, 2016

This show ends an amazing broadcast year on The Digital Domain. Besides the usual all over the place discussion, we had a few traditions. A rather eventful visit to Nick's trains sparked some model train discussion with Venison. The opening of the gifts ensued, in which you hear...or don't hear...Nick speechless at Bob's gift, and Bob get a gift that had, in its way, the representation of the entire station behind it. Finally, we look back on the year that was with our ninth annual year-end montage. We will see you next year, right here on TBRN.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for December 16, 2016

This show was done in the wake of the passing of Al Adamo, Nick's former English teacher, organizer of the Met's game trips, and deep Long Island accented voice (I Remember?) heard on May 27. Opening the show with Sinéad O'Connor's version of Silent night seemed particularly appropriate this time. Beyond Al's death, the show had a recap of the hints for next week's Christmas gifts, discussion of Australian backwards Christmas songs, Christmas automation, an old creaky elevator, loud drunken people at a Christmas party Bob attended, and much more besides. There was a lot going on given the two hour length, but it was just a warmup to the final show next week.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for December 9, 2016

This show was brought to you by Pepsi Holiday Spice. Yeah, that soft drink from 2004? Find out why. Listen as we compare audio book narrations from Exploding the Phone, discuss how homestead types might sound reading them, play clips from a failed TBRN-related campaign, and generally have a great time. There's a reason we consider our December shows some of our perennial best...download them to find out.

The Digital Domain online Radio Show for December 2, 2016

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for November 11, 2016

Of tributes and firsts is this episode, the last before Nick jets off to Florida for two weeks. We tribute a show 5 years to the day, featuring the only in-studio appearance of Hope Povenmire, available from HKC Heritage. Just a note, you'll want to download the two shows before that one as well. For the first time, Alex Jones shows up in studio...What crazy theories does he have, and how does jayson Smith incriminate himself? Finally, a week after release, we play a new Stine Grove track. This description, unfortunately, doesn't do the show justice...Download it. You won't regret it.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for October 28, 2016

An old Stadium in Wisconsin is the site of the newest iteration of an old bit. Yes, the Crash in is back, and it truly is the best its ever been. A silly political song from a conservative perspective was played, after Bianca played Liberal perspective song parodies the previous day. We re-air the destruction of a piano Derek aired recently, and we hear the end of the end of a Microwave series. Does it live up to its name? Oh, and someone called Debby Downer did nothing more than waste our time, but what do you expect?

The Digital Domain Online Microwave Show for October 21, 2016

If you've ever, for whatever reason, wondered what a really White girl rapping to her own guitar playing sounds like, accompanied by Bob Sarnowski on the keyboard, this is the show for you. We also do something nine years in the making for this station...begin the process of completing the End of Microwave series, which, as a show, we originally began playing for ourselves on August 19. Finally, we play with Alexa, in the form of Nick's brand new, second generation Amazon Echo Dot, and try an experimental closing track for the show.

The Digital Domain Online 14th Anniversary Celebration: September 30, 2016

On Linda's final night - for now - in New York, Nick and Bob choose to celebrate 14 years of the Digital Domain Online Radio Show, whose first scheduled episode was on September 28. How? By playing some of the worst clips of the old days imaginable...as well as some of their best work. But the past isn't the only content herein, as there's talk of Nick's new cordless phone and its associated issues, including an appearance from a dead man. Plus, how did Linda and Nick spend their week? Find out...including some...audio.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for September 23, 2016

Linda showed up from the Netherlands, an action seven years in the making. She is third mic on this show and the one to follow. We talk about the week that surrounded her arrival, including airport adventures and discussions of how to drive automatic transmission cars when one hasn't done so before. Autumn Zephyr also made a day trip to see Nick, triggering a recording of Nick's first viewing of a Behringer X32. Finally, we play with Siri on MacOS Sierra and go over voice recognition fails, howling with laughter in the process.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for September 2, 2016

This show took place after the untimely death of Bob's dear friend, Angelica ranieri, an occasional voice heard on our show in our pre-TBRN days. In tribute, we hear a clip from 2012 of her smashing a piece of furniture. The top 5 of our top 10 list from last week resolves our cliffhanger, including the honorable mentions thanks to Gemma. We enjoy? old clips of Nick taking bus trips, as bingo the bus driver entered the studio, including some SCAT bus stories never told on air. Finally, this show spends a fair amount of time talking about vacuums, following up from a similar segment in 2012, as the Digital Domain Studio Complex has a new resident vacuum. We present some mental imagery with that from 2012 as well, thanks to "in-studio Alex", setting up future appearances by that character.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 26, 2016

A week in the life of Bob Sarnowski and a broken? Olympus LS-P2. Hear various recordings with various permutations of internal mics, quasi-binaurals, autogain, etc. Bust a gut as Alex shows us a couple of french text-to-speech voices...expect the unconventional. And, for the first time, a top 10 list, selected by Alex, ends in a cliffhanger as Bob had to leave before the top 5 could be played. Check back next week to pick up where this show left off.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show....The Digdom? For August 19, 2016

Bob Sarnowski is the new owner of an Olympus LS-P2. Talk about this immediately dovetailed with the bulk of the show, where a couple of strange Australians attempting to actively kill a microwave dominated discussion. All three of the loyal Finnish listeners, Riikka, Sanna, and Medina, called in for the first time, wherein Bob lost his mind over Medina's voice. What else is new? Finally, Nick told an old story about Linda's family.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for August 5, 2016

This show contained a lot of dialogue with our listeners, and talk of Match Game, culminating in the Domain debut of Match Game champion Jessica Silva. Hear Bob's reaction to that. Hear Bob creating reactions with the help of his good friend Kevin literally 22 years ago this day, in their reenactment of a classic Abbott and Costello bit during the camp show. Hear Bob's reaction to a sweet-voiced chick singing Metallica, and hear the reaction of a lifetime as we explore the top 10 most remote places to live.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for July 29, 2016

An amped up Nick set the tone with a show opening scream, energizing the show and pulling the listeners, and Bob, along in his wake. Wait a minute...this description isn't written by Nick's ego. We deal in facts here. Anyway, the show started out with a discussion of standing room only concerts and the merits and demerits of them. Just a spoiler, Bob and Nick do not like thee idea at all. The rest of the show was completely dominated by old camp tapes and camp stories, predominantly by Bob and Nick but also by listeners, to an extent. An Epica song and a file intended to follow up from the speech synthesizer talk from last week, also intended for the birthday of one of our listeners...who didn't show up...rounded out the show. And yes, it flew by.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for July 22, 2016

July 18, 1994. Where was Bob when the lights went out? We find that out as we look back on old camp tapes from Helen Keller Camp, where Bob and Nick met. These tapes were pre-Nick, but rather crazy and, 22 years later, still hilarious. That plus phone calls and Skype calls make up this week's Digital Domain.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for July 15, 2016

For the first time ever, we were able to bridge Skype and phone calls...with a PBX, not an incoming Skype number, and without any crazy unstable software solutions. We expected breakage. Amazingly, there was none, it was our smoothest show technically of the year. The show focused mostly on thunderstorms, lightning strikes, and Blackouts, including lengthy anecdotes of same. The rest of the show had some of the same whacked out stuff you've come to expect, enjoyment of the new communications setup, and...a call from a former president? This was a relaxed, smooth show that was great to listen to and do.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for July 8, 2017

This sloppy, sloppy show featured an in studio guest appearance by Paige Lieberman, who did not contribute to any of the sloppiness simply by the fact of her being rather quiet. In fact, the slopfest is entirely the fault of your tech guy, Nick, who didn't realize until after an hour that he didn't know how to run his board. This show featured much Fireworks talk, a song in what we later determined to be Pseudo-latin long after we got off the air, the top 10 unbelievable facts in music history, And the attempted first TBRN appearance of Scott Ferrall...which didn't go too well. Paige is worth the price of admission, so download the show if only to hear her voice.

The Digital Domain Online Scrap Metal Show for July 1, 2016

Jayson Smith called this show the Scrap Metal show, and it kinda was, between technical errors and the general wide open subject matter. A hybrid show due to a transportation problem, the first hour was dominated by Match Game talk, given the Match Game contest premier the very next day. The second hour was musical, including many technical errors and a Skype call from a new listener. It sometimes felt like the Crap Metal show, but it was fun, nevertheless.

The Digital Domain Online Swedish Show for June 24, 2016

No description available.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for June 17, 2016

The first half of the show revolved around Bob's new JBL Xtreme, and its relationship to its little brother, Bob's already existing JBL Flip III. We played with JBL connect, showed off its power, and it even...well, you'll have to hear it to believe it, your writer will not try to write it. The second hour provided us with some amusing calls of both the Skype and phone variety, Nick's new favorite Weird Al song as well as another related one, the worst Call-a-Swede yet, and more Chap Hop, following up from the top 10 weirdest Genre's from 2 weeks ago. This show was so packed with content and so much fun to do, it flew by and flowed incredibly well.

The Digital Domain Online Hybrid Show for June 10, 2016

This hybrid show wasn't quite as we drew it up. In a way, it was better. The first hour had much talk about phone systems with Bob and Jayson, who were both on the phone. Yep, What else is new? In the second hour, however, Donna, by suggestion from Bob, joined Nick to cohost in her first ever Skype call. Also present were Riikka, Misty, and later Finn, playing some music and bantering in a very relaxed...metal show? Yeah, it's an oddity we are well familiar with.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for June 3, 2016

It's Nick's birthday show, but it wasn't really all that special for that reason. The special part of the show was, without a doubt, the Match Game Matchups, which were a dream to announce. We also enjoyed a Call-a-Swede segment with Nick solo, and the top 10 weirdest music Genres, brought to you buy Alex. And yes, an example from that segment caught our attention. Freeform fun for all!

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show says Goodbye to Robyn. May 27, 2016

This show is the final studio appearance of Robyn de Graves, who will be moving to Oklahoma in several weeks. It was a fun one, featuring talk of her San Jose Sharks, who just made the Stanley Cup finals. We also played backwards Match Game, in an effort to promote the upcoming Match Game contest. We played audio from Nicks trip to CitiField with the Middle School, which spawned an insane bit that nobody understood...but everybody laughed at, and more Bob breakage from Bianca. This show was a fitting sendoff for Robyn.

The Digital Domain Online Early Show for May 20, 2016

This show tied itself together very well. It aired early in the afternoon, so Call-A-Swede was live. It took two calls, but we got to talk to an affable English Teacher from Stockholm. This connected very well with audio played later, in which Nick spoke to adolescent students in his old Middle School...and smashed them. There were many calls from listeners whose voices have never been heard on this show, Bob losing his mind yet again at an Islander game, technical problems, and a Swedish Metal song - What did we say about this show connecting? As a whole, this was a great return to the studio after a month away from it, and a first since August...an Afternoon show.

The Digital Domain Match Game Announcement for April 29, 2016

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April 22, 2016

Right off the bat, the quickness of the listeners was evident as Derek, after a call from Jason, came up with the idea that we should have cheerleaders for phone systems. We're not kidding. Chelsea even showed up to perform such a cheer, the first of many calls she would make to this show. We hear recordings of Bob's first experience of playoff hockey, Brooklyn-style, and yes, he screamed his head off and clipped his recorder. Deal with it. Call-a-Swede had its best occurrence yet, featuring a lively young lady named Hilda and a certain local sports talker. Alex came up with bit concepts, showed his love of speech synthesizers, and generally made everyone laugh. Misty showed up to talk about everything from our show's history to...Latin. Finally, we played some older bits, introducing the masses to some of our best early work.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April 15, 2016

Talk of national anthem performance fails dominated the show, including Marinda attempting to perform our own national anthem all the way from the Netherlands. The Islander playoff game, a call to Sweden, Alex at his most amusing by far, and smooth Jazz Nick and Bob round out the show. This description doesn't do it justice, but nothing really could do the description for this show justice.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April 8, 2016

The bulk of this show was a tribute to the second most important show in our history, which took place 10 years ago the previous day. Without that show, we wouldn't be here today. We focused heavily on Heather Hutchison, the musician interviewed during that show, by playing incriminating clips of us during the said interview before Heather herself showed up to provide contrast, a look back at an April Fools prank on Nick in which Heather was involved, and a 10 year update. We listened to a broken phone recording, called a random Swede, announced a brand new broadcaster, and had a guest appearance from our friend Robyn. And yes, to top it all off, Bob was broken with absurd ease by our resident Bianca.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for April Fools, 2016

The unexpected was king on this episode of the Digital Domain...go figure, right? Right off the bat, listen to Clark McGwin make a fool of himself as cohost with Nick for about 10 minutes. Roast Nick as he retracts a statement he made last week, just as loudly as when he made it. Laugh at outtakes from speaker man extraordinaire Olaf, right after Alex shows us just how much of an audiophile he actually is. Enjoy as Yushu Huang from Roger shows up to talk about the app in the most unexpected occurrence of the year so far, and a pleasant surprise it was too. Reminisce as we go over an old April Fools joke from the first time we ever broadcasted on that date, and combust as Alex once again shows up to make life interesting with effects, rendering Bob doubled over with laughter...just as he had to leave, at which point nick played some music to close the show.

The Digital Domain Online Donna Show for March 25, 2016

On a good Friday show, the overarching theme turned into...Donna versus Donna. A space cadet disguised as a chick from Long Island named Donna was recorded by Bob at his favorite bar, misunderstanding jokes and talking so fast that no one could understand her. The contrast between her and our loyal listener, also named Donna, showed itself as she called in for only the second time ever, at which point hilarity ensued as everyone began doing impressions of Long Island Donna. Outside of the Donnas, and no, I am not talking about a Palo Alto punk band, we had a new mashup from Alex, an amusing production from our own Jakob Rosin, an attempted - and failed - Rich roast over a mistaken gender identification, a statement of our Catholicism, and the first appearance in studio in nearly 2 years from our friend Robyn de Graves. As packed as this description is, the show was even more packed. And yes, for the record, Jason Smith called it the most insane TBRN show he ever listened to. TO that, we say thank you.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show For March 18, 2016

Bob is back in the studio again! Finally! Yes, this show had the oddness to match the circumstance. A listener returned for the first time since 2011, rendering Bob silent for an extended period by his standards. Mark it down, it does not happen often. A new character showed up to annoy an already established one, Bianca broke Bob for the balance of the show, a Cortana Coin Toss and more play with Cortana, and a new station ID wows radio host and listeners alike. This was a fine return to the studio for Bob after more than a month.

The Digital Domain Online Remote Show for March 11, 2016

This time, Bob was fine, but his mother was sick, leaving him no way to get to the studio. RAAAAH! A disturbing trend! This show spent a lot of time playing with phones, trying to come up with odd combinations to mess with the TBRN PBX. Jason Smith showed up with talk about his payphone, and introduced us to the Clipper Magazine girl, who Bob liked a lot better than the Clipper Magazine guy from last week. All things being equal, this was one of the more fun remote shows we've ever done.

The Digital Domain Online Remote Show for March 4, 2016

A phantom snow threat caused the Bob transportation situation to fail, creating this phoner show. Its low key nature was exacerbated by bob being sick, but we made the best of it. The undisputable highlight of the show was Jason Smith introducing us to the Clipper Magazine guy, a gentleman with a strange cadence who used to voice their after hours phone message.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 19, 2016

This show was supposed to be silly night, in tribute to the sixth anniversary of Nicks mothers stroke. That did somewhat occur, as we played some silly songs, but the bulk of the show talked about hockey games and sports superstitions, as well as watched the New York Islanders take on the New Jersey Devils.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for February 12, 2016

Bob was back in the studio again, to the excitement of Nick. The excitement would turn into dismay, however, once the second hour rolled around. Bob goes to the bathroom? Yeah, sometimes, wireless mics are really bad things. We played a few tracks from Tesseract, played some audio from the Islander game the previous Sunday, played really bad examples of public relations, and watched as Nick suddenly became exhausted as the show ended. Quite a shame that the untitled Show would not be able to air this day, as Bob would have been able to stay on air longer...but Nick crashed immediately after the show. Oh no!

The Digital Domain Online Anneke Show for February 5, 2016

With Bob Sarnowski snowed in yet again, we expected this to be another Skitzo show. This show proved that sometimes, expectations dont mean a thing. Instead, we got a relaxed-paced, conversational show. It featured a Super Bowl themed airplane bit, talk about radio, a trailer for a film about the Boston accent, and the silent kind of technical problems that you dont notice until its far too late. We also gave a lot of airtime to, and talked about, Dutch chanteuse Anneke van Giersbergen, the namesake of the machine that was, at time of broadcast, responsible for delivering you this archive. We talked about her so much that the last 15 minutes became the Anneke show, playing her music throughout. Nick could not believe it. All things being equal, its an entirely different kind of Digital Domain worth your download.

The Digital Domain Online Radio Show for January 29, 2016

Despite the fact that Bob was in studio this week for most of the show, this week picked up where the last left off. A tribute to 6 years ago this day when a semi-famous listener tuned into one of the shows for the first time, “Ask Choo Choo Bob”, Bob poking a listener incessantly on behalf of Nick, and hearing the voice of one of our newest listeners for the first time...including a hilarious bout with technical difficulties. The last half hour continued the metal theme from the previous week, rendering this show a perfect companion piece to the ark the skitzo show began.

The Digital Domain Skitzo Snow Show for January 22, 2015

It truly was the Skitzo show when Bob Sarnowski was snowed out. He ended up calling in on the phone through half the show, at which point an approximation of the usual hijinks ensued. The other half contained a very angry Nick “making war with music”, featuring some of the hardest metal ever to be played on this station. All of this while waiting to see if the New York Mets would sign Yoenis Cespedes, which they did that same night...but not during this show.
